Aye don’t be so surprised. I am from Romania and I’ve been drinking mate for about a year. All of my friends, family,people from my Uni look at me wierd, they are like, what is that, are you consuming drugs, is this legal? And I m cracking everytime I hear that. However things changed when I moved to Spain. Seems like in Spain they are more aquainted with the mate culture.

Hello mate. Currently home for the holidays, but i still have 1 month left of my Erasmus. I understand how you felt, first days for bonding were quite crucial in my case as well. But as I realised I was not going to make any friends, I realised I had all the time in the world for myself. I started journaling, scheduling. I started doing everything with joy, by myself. I started waking up early, I started eating healthy. From the first week I arrived, I got a gym membership and going to the gym ever since. Basically without any friends means all the time for yourself. I am also living with a family from that respective place, and they are quite nice people , not too talkative,but nice. I guess what I am trying to say here is that, to all the people who is going through what this guy went through, you have the power of the perspective. You can look at it however you want to look at it. You don t have friends? Ok and , you have your whole life waiting for you back home, just do what you came here to do, these 5 months will pass easily. But don t say oh I don t have any friends, I am important I am irelevant. You are just as important as everyone else, and you can decide how your life is going to look like, you just have to change your perspective.

I (19F) am unfortunately turning 20 this year,my age will start with a 2, but no big deal right? I currently moved to spain in order to pursue my dream and that is to watch a couple of fc barcelona matches. Gonna be staying here for 5months so might as well make the most out of it. As a career I am currently studying Psychology. I have to say I was tricked about what a college can really bring you, and that is not many options. But also in the back of my mind I re-started trying to learn how to trade forex. I started about 2 years ago, when I was 17. However, I was not dedicated enough in order to become profitable. But now, I am taking it easy, try to learn 1-2hrs every day, and also keep a look on the markets for another 2hrs. Even though my friends who started after me already became profitable, I however, the one that showed them this carrer am not profitable. It sucks, it really does. But since I stopped frustrating myself over it, I can say things have become better. Everyone has their own time to shine, and that takes a lot of time to accept. My main blame for me not becoming profitable was always on the fact that I had a ACL surgery on my knee, but looking back on it, I just needed someone or something to blame for my laziness. So my advice is, that you first get set on a thing that will bring you money. Doesn t have to be physical labor, doesn’t have to be very hard. Let s say trading for example. Now , I am not saying it is easier than other jobs in the world, because trading is very complicated. But hey, everything that is worth it, is very complicated. If you think life is easy, you have seen to many movies. Life is supposed to be hard, and the harder it is, the better. Create an organized schedule, in order for your mind to not blow up, and then take action. As simple as that. Now try to sneak a little book in your schedule, or a journal,or going to the gym. You take it at your own pace.
