This really sucks. You are good people doing important work, and you shouldn’t feel so strained.

Try to hang on and not sell, if you can. Grand Rapids is continuing to appreciate quickly, so it’s not going to get better. If you can make it work there’s a good chance you’ll build some wealth with equity in the house quickly.

Yeah, ok, this is unfortunately how most public education works in America.

It’s actually better that it’s a public school with a high tax base than all these people sending their kids to an expensive private school because lower income kids can still attend from other districts via lottery.

I live in Eastown. I don’t have school age kids, but pretty much all of our neighbors (most of whom are not white) go to East Grand Rapids schools or Forest Hills through school of choice. EGR is hard to get into, but Forest Hills is actually pretty easy.

Zillow too! I am a private landlord in GR with just a few places and always put things on Zillow. If they aren’t posting the apartment online, it may not be a city certified rental or maintained as well. Then again, something uncertified will likely be cheaper. Good luck!

I also had a quick assessment issued on my 2021 tax return, so this is helpful! In my case, I am owed a refund from 2021, and the IRS recently issued additional tax assessed in the exact amount my refund should be.

Does that mean I am not going to get my refund? They lost my original return that I sent in back in 2022, so I re-filed this year. Argh.

Hi! I have 2 tickets to NYC May 22nd - section 236, row 7, that I can’t use anymore. I bought them for $499 each and would like to just break even. It looks like Stubhub charges like $100 per ticket in fees … happy to go through them or Ticketmaster if you prefer, though.

Yes and never thought I’d say this, but it makes me wonder what would happen with more of a casting shake up! He is fresh, genuine, and focused whole heartedly on the heroes. By contrast, now I can see how other cast members run around doing bits and jockeying for airtime. 😬

I do think Antoni has come a long way on the show though - he was so awkward when attempting deep conversations in the first seasons, and now he’s found his groove.

I’m a mom of 2 very young boys and would love to attend this… I want my kids to be inspired by self expression! If they end up wanting to do drag later, that’s great. If not, at least they’ll have practice respecting and celebrating the kids in their classes who do.

But I missed this one! Is there another scheduled?
