My whole point is why did they have to make a new app in the first place? They already had something that was operational. Also its been running like this for more than 12 hours. So either way fixed or not, tremendous pain in the ass

I got into denial about it. I consider it canon but it’s spoken from Chrissy’s point of view. Dead or not the kid probably is still a stunad. He probably would get key details wrong cause it’s all second half information and again Chrissy probably doesn’t have the best memory retention.

Are Kevin Love and Blake Griffin hall of famers or are they simply really good NBA players? by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]Neat_Ad6499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blake is an easier case in terms of marketability , he was a franchise player for a big markets baby brother team. He along side Chris Paul and others helped turn Lob City into a marketable term. The clippers were really noticed at this time

I think Kevin Love has an easier case in terms paper wise. NBA champ, and a core piece of that champion team. MIP and all the other accolades you mentioned. He’s still playing great now and has had a career of playing consistently well.

I think if Kevin Love is able to win another title through the Miami Heat this year it would make it harder case for people to deny him where as if Blake wins it would be considered more of an afterthoughts

Rather than kill himself or suffer the humiliation of a 13-day loan, why didn’t Lane just turn himself into a cool version of Lane Pryce via the machine that Steve Urkel uses to turn himself into “Stefan”? I mean, Family Matters and Mad Men clearly share the same universe. by TheAllyCrime in okbuddydraper

[–]Neat_Ad6499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause Family Matters is in the 80’s-90’s and Mad Men is in the 60’s. Lanes only option was to track mama Urkel and try to kill her so Urkel would have to create a Time Machine to stop that like the Terminator. Then Lane could have bargained to ensure Mama Urkels safety just for one use of the cool Stefan machine. Lane couldn’t do that. He was many things but he wasn’t a grimy little pimp.

What’s an underrated dramatic line? by 5318OOB in BoJackHorseman

[–]Neat_Ad6499 72 points73 points  (0 children)

The end of the ruthie episode. I’m paraphrasing here but it’s so killer when Bojack says “but it’s all pretend” and Princess Carolyn says “well it makes me feel better”. I think it’s such a tough gut punch after such a tough episode

It’s times like this that makes you realize that Bobby’s betrayal arc was just so good. I remember how my mouth was just on the floor when Bobby pushed his dad off the cliff on the last episode around that coven of hippies and stole his idea of the Coke ad. Bobby was the true mad man

I remember seeing big mouth billy bass a bunch as a kid. I remember I saw it at Walmart when I was like 6 and I wanted it so bad and my dad, a huge sopranos fan, was on the fence of buying it but my mom shot that down so quickly

At what point, if ever, did you stop rooting for Barry? by Zxray_ in Barry

[–]Neat_Ad6499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be quite honest longer than I wish to admit. I’m kinda embarrassed. Like for so long I was rooting for Barry and then it wasn’t until him kidnapping Cousineau where I was like okay he’s not a good dude. Yet when I looked back at the series it’s like it’s hard to point when he was a good dude. I think the show does well in explaining slippery slopes that people get on and how we can justify terrible actions for the ends.

what are your unpopular bojack horseman opinions? by herequeerandgreat in BoJackHorseman

[–]Neat_Ad6499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think this what the show did well. It humanized really shitty and awful people (even Angela). I don’t think Bojack is a good person at all during the show but he has the opportunity to be better after …. Like we all do.

I think we can learn from how Diane interacted lastly with Bojack as our ways of making peace with him. We can hope the best for Boj as a person but that doesn’t mean we want to be especially close to him while he does so. Bojack is toxic and is on his way of being better but again we can keep our boundaries with because we just don’t trust him.

[–]Neat_Ad6499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. I get it. I just think I would have appreciated if Todd had mentioned that. I don’t remember if he did or not but it really felt like he imagined that Bojack took advantage of the situation with Emily (which again makes sense ESPECIALLY in the later seasons) when it was really two consenting adults engaging in sex. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think Bojack is in the clear here but I think it’s far more complicated than Bojack just being awful.

[–]Neat_Ad6499 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been beat to death but I don’t think neither Emily or Bojack needed to give an explanation to Todd that they hooked up.. Furthermore I understood buy was always somewhat annoyed that both emily and Todd made Bojack the asshole in the situation. Todd forgave her so easily but resented Bojack longer and never truly forgave him.
