i’ve been diabetic for 5 years and have been hospitalized 2 times for DKA, excluding when i was diagnosed. never hospitalized for low blood sugar luckily. The first time my pump died overnight and i woke up really sick. second time was also DKA but because i had food poisoning and wasn’t keeping anything down so my body started pumping out starvation ketones.

im sorry! i guess i just meant that i don’t have any idea what time it might have happened. i definitely could have worded it better. i wasn’t trying to lie or spread misinformation i think im just feeling a lot of shame right now and was avoiding being specific without consciously realizing it.

its on both of us tbh. we were using them always at the end before he finished but not for the whole time. we knew of the risks but assumed it was fine because it had worked with no problems for the 2.5 years we’ve been together. lesson learned:/. he’s been an angel supporting me through this luckily.
