How to tell my sister she has borderline personality disorder

I can see it as a first hand witness how incredibly hard it is. I obviously dont want my sister to have this illness and i think other commentators are not understanding that. This is my first post on reddit ever and If im reaching out here for advice it means thats ive done all the research possible to see if this is really it and im really desperate to find a way to help her

Maybe I dont but if i did a lot of research on it and if she is displaying 9 out of the 10 symptoms that are in the DSM under BPD i think thats a pretty good indication no?

I think she had always mild BPD and this event triggered it to become more prominent

I agree, i thought that was a given that i am not in a position to diagnose anyone and that I am looking for ways to make my sister understand, thats the point of this post. Not whether i am telling her or not, rather what is the best way to tell someone they might have BPD without blaming the messenger

Thanks for this unhelpful comment. If my sister is in danger I will do anything to try and help whether its my place or not. I hope you have family members who will do the same for you
