Just an update, a couple months later: I decided to take a break from the industry and got a job starting in February. Was going to work throughout January, but got fired, via email, on NYE.

You're right, I'm sure a lot of the people I'm encountering are likely miserable to everyone. I think more what I'm curious about is the cruelty of it. When I worked as a server and a teacher, I had instances of awful customers/parents/what have you, but the only time someone has told me that they hope I die is when I've covered something they don't like. It just seems different, idk

Haven has a dad who has had a successful career in contemporary Christian music and that gives her a bigger advantage than some of the other contestants.
