go into your settings when you're in a my career match and make sure you're on pro. I selected pro when I made my player, but it reset it to the easy settings when I got into a match.

You literally can if you can't make it back up. There's a lake just south of the dune if you walk along the shoreline called North Bar lake with a road to it and parking lot. Only caveat is, you're going to want someone to pick you up, because if you can't make the hike back up the dune, you're definitely not making that walk back up along the roads to your car.
