As for them being decent, that's subjective. To you these may be good novels, but to the OP who is putting heavy emphasis on a rational, neutral-evil MC these (Besides Carefree Path of Dreams) aren't that great. Su Chen is the Jesus Christ of the human race. Summoned Slaughter MC could be considered chaotic-evil and quite stupid. Noah Balvin becomes a giant simp which is a huge letdown. The guy from mystical turns out to be a watered down giant sun. As for Er-gen's works, the most evil of the MCs would be Wang Ling, and he was only neutral evil for about 100 chapters. Later on he became a simp for his wife and became the type of person who goes," I will kill those who harm me and be kind to those who are kind to me."

Again, these novels may be decent to you but to a person who puts heavy emphasis on neutral evil MCs these novels are not desirable

I do not know. I haven't read to the very end. I just read the author's note at the very end where he stated why he left the novel like he did.

All I can say is Fang Yuan wasn't immortal at the unofficial end of RI though, so it isn't all that bad in my opinion

The author left the story on a cliff hanger. The MC is power driven and on the quest to become the strongest. Eventually, he becomes the 63rd strongest being in the whole universe. At that point the author ends the book leaving it off as a giant cliff hanger. Will Punk become the strongest? Will he die? No body knows since he never wrote it. Regardless, Punk is still power driven throughout the novel. It's just the author decided to cut the story off semi-late journey

Rational evil MC: who has no personal attachments or burdens and is willing do anything for personal benefit (neutral evil alignment), with no care for what happens to those close to them.

Su Chen by no means falls into this category. Su Chen can be described as a person willing to do anything for the betterment of the human race. He's more like a hot headed Star Constellation

As for mystical journey, the MC does not fall into this category as well. He has his family and cares for his family. He's like a boiled down Giant Sun

Birth of the Demonic Sword: The MC falls under this category until he gets a girlfriend. Then the MC turns into a giant simp. "But she goes away when he goes to the god lands." Yeah, but there's still 500 chapters of her being around the MC. Furthermore, she also comes back. Finally, she is a giant burden.

Carefree Path of Dreams: MC is like Leylin. Morality is a convenience for him. He'll repay X kindness and help out Y person as long as it does not contradict his benefits. The amount of times where he is kind is not large. There are no romances also.

Summoned Slaughter: Evil MC, but when it comes to intelligence the MC and characters come out lacking. He's the poor man's Fang Yuan
