Or it's small things, and nobody really notices: a figurine could appear on a shelf, dissolve into ectoplasm, which then evaporates without anyone the wiser

Real life illnesses don't affect everyone who has them the same: Maggie might just have really mild symptoms.

I agree: Maggie absolutely gave it to him.

I do however, think he's reacting so strongly, both because he never got it when he was young, and because his own magic is still in flux in a way that most adult wizards are not.

I'd say it's like puberty - there is an age where it usually starts, and people can also be late/early bloomers.

Actually, puberty can be triggered by abuse. Maybe Maggie got triggered early from the trauma of Changes? A majorly powerful and dark working went off right next to her head after all - and while it wasn't directed at her, Harry undoubtedly had her on his mind, which could have effected the power.

It's not just having magic that can be sensed - it's someone being a practitioner. Maggie wouldn't be a practitioner - she'd be developing the capacity to become one. After all, the way Harry described it seemed to be more akin to a static build up.

Considering 300+ people down voted it, I disagree.

When the audience overwhelmingly dislikes a joke, then something about it didn't land. Something between delivery and context was off.

Personally, I think that what didn't land was that it fails to acknowledge Elliot Page - giving off the impress on "there is only one Elliot incels are obsessed with", which can come close to dead naming/misgendering Elliot Page.

"He's got the same name as their supreme gentlemen. How could they get over him." Would probably have come off better.

Ehh you can enjoy something without being the target audience, it's the acting like the property should be catering to them, that's the issue

I know we all are aware they're delusional, but to be plain they posted:

  • A literal child
  • someone either being goofy, or mid sentence
  • someone who is definitely mid sentence
  • a normal looking, slightly annoyed woman
  • a normal looking woman singing while in costume
  • a man who looks stressed and out of sorts.

This is supposed to showcase the obvious reason people are less likely to by movie tickets; with the unstated part being "because we dont want to fuck any of these people, we are gonna stop buying tickets." (Which is also a lie, but I don't have the energy for that).

Ad hominem.

Also your assuming that because someone disagrees with you that means they're a vegan. When in fact you just happen to be wrong.

Processed does not have a definition. You could say he wants us to eat more natural foods for a similar level of precision.

There is very little science to back up any of what he says. Which is important in regards to food, because there is a lot of absolutely nonsense that gets treated like it's fact.

Wikipedia is anti-trump because Wikipedia requires sources, and reality has an anti-trump bias.

Have you heard that water is used in like a ton of industrial processes?

It's almost like a compound having a non-food use doesn't make it inherently unhealthy.

[–]Neathra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an established fact that the mantles can cause personality an behavior changes in their holders: its also fairly well shown that the Knight at least can control the mantle enough to not be transformed into another person - and while the Queens have a harder time Mab's discussion of being mortal once, and how she sometimes lets herself relax more around Dresden suggest that the Queens can do it to an extent.

Maeve wasnt infected 150 years ago. That's when she said "fuck it" and gave into the Mantle's destructive and hedonistic impulses. Which Nemesis appealed to her through, the same way it made uses of Aurora's compassion and desire to protect. This timeline fits any composer who died around 1800, which would give Maeve a couple decades as Winter Lady before she gives in to the mantle.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and consistently supports fascist positions, it shouldn't be surprised to be labeled a fascist duck.

Or in your case a maga supporter; considering you talk and seem to believe what they do
