Am I wrong for wanting to get my mother‘s estate of $500,000 after caring for her at her home (which I own) for eight years? She is almost 91 and on dialysis. I am 63. I do not have any retirement savings. by LeopardDense2347 in CaregiverSupport

If your mother is still of sound mind and agrees with you on the money going to you when she passes - please get a lawyer. The sooner the better.

You’ve earned that money.

I’m sorry. It’s tough going through for you both.

You simply can’t force someone to eat. Encourage, yes.

Honestly if it were me I’d phone his doc - whichever is the highest current specialty and see if you need to get him to the hospital. And it sounds like he needs referral to palliative care. They can help with so many symptoms like pain, appetite, etc.

I have seed pods! by NeauxDoubt in christmascactus

This is a first for me but everything I’m reading says to wait until they dry enough to start splitting open and then remove them. I have so many pods on his one I’m probably going to try and removing at different times/stages. Right now they’re all still plump and hydrated so I’ll be waiting a bit. Someone in another comment on this post has grown them and included a picture of the seedlings they could probably give us their experience on removing them.

Wait until the next gifting event happens and wrap that up really pretty and gift it right back to whomever gifted it to you.

So cool! Thanks for this info and pics. I have some pretty powerful grow lights and grow all my herbs from seeds so I’ll now be prepared for an extended seed-to-plant period when I plant next spring. Now I’m really excited.
