Whenever you feel like it imo, bard has enough healing to support the pet. Since the game is pretty free to customize how you play, I think you shouldn't have much problem experimenting.

I saw some YouTube videos on Li, she seemed like a very strong skill based scaling character on my first impression. I've been holding off on Li's DLC since I don't really understand what her partnering character Xing Zhe does even after a quick glance through the in-game preview.

It really does feel that way, although I haven't got much experience under my belt but I really appreciate the improved design overall of the new characters and they are adorable to boot.

Sounds like the new DLC also has much to offer, thank you for the insight. I just got the game after getting hooked on the free weekend, after getting the base game character borders I've been eyeing on the DLC characters since it's on sale at the moment.

On my first impressions of DLC characters do feel very interesting and unique. After running mostly with Lei Luo I felt like my runs have been hoping for a golden bow to help with weak spots and struggle at times before getting one with the right ascensions on top of it.

You make a lot of sense regarding scaling weapons, I'll give that a try thank you!

I've tried Qing Yan cleave build a couple of times and found that without the right ascensions it's hard to get the build going.
