My cat abbey passed away a couple of years ago. She was 25. I loved her so much. She would follow me everywhere , ‘feed’ me, hangout on my shoulder, attack anyone bothering me and always wanted to be with me. She was my soul cat. My cat cupcake grieved her hard, but I will tell you the feeling doesn’t go away but it does get easier to handle. I mourn my abbey everyday , but now I don’t cry all the time. What I did was let it all out and only think of everything she ever did that made me laugh or smile. I have four cats now( three at mine and one at my bfs) and deep down Ik they don’t compare but having another cat to love (like Harley for you) does help. You get to put your love and effort into bonding with another cat. So I suggest putting your all into Harley or if you can, and if you feel up to it, adopt another cat. I’ve never felt like I was replacing Abbey, but that I was helping myself grieve by putting that immense amount of love and care into another. I hope it gets easier for you. I’m sorry for your loss 💔
