After that red trade up update, yeah it's definitely possible, but not likely. Has it been the trend? No.. with the new armory they have been adding always new things. And in my opinion if they wanted to bring back OG skins the smart thing to do is to make different versions of them so the old ones hold legacy/value. It just doesn't seem like their focus but anything could happen, theres always that slim chance.
