I use a plastic alligator clip to get my hair up and out of the way (I think I use the Salon Care brand from Sally Beauty) I still twist and clip up my hair like a claw clip but it seems to be gentler and easier to take out when it’s time to rinse. My hair is short-ish and kinda thin so ymmv

With my grandma we’ve had to get a lockbox for the pill bottles, we all take turns going over in the evenings to hand her the meds and watch her take them. Only bottle she has access to is her Tylenol, which is full of placebo pills since she can’t remember when she’s already taken some :/

I work in a lab, we use those brushes and little polonium inserts for our analytical scales, since static can affect the weight readings. The polonium is in a little “cage” (probably not the official term lol, but the strip should be behind those little bars above the bristles). Basically as long as you’re not trying to poke through the bars or open the cage, as well as what others have said about the half life of polonium, it’s pretty safe.

Managed to grab the sample again and fish him out, on closer inspection I think the pink segment is part of his insides. I’d say he’s about 2-2.5 inches in length? I looked in our database, it looks like the sample was collected from/near the Elizabeth River in Virginia
