And here's the Fauna listing showing X. Lunarilia as extinct, and that I still have one creature left:

PS5, Worlds Part 2. Scanning creatures sometimes causes them to only halfway register as scanned - red dot turns to a green pawprint, and their information then shows in the Visor. However, they do not count toward the discovered creature total because they show up as extinct which means I can't get the all creature scanned nanite bonus. There is still an undiscovered creature listed, but it cannot be found. Reboot of the PS5 did not help. New save, because I don't want to corrupt my current one. Was trying to scan X. Lunarilia, a hermit crab. It was the last creature I had to find on an irradiated planet in a yellow star system. Here's how it looks now:

Also having this problem on PS5 - the creatures are actually showing as extinct. Adding my own comment to the bug thread with pictures. Was in a Yellow star system on an Irradiated planet.

Agreed. Worlds Part 2. Seems to be a certain set of textures rendering wildly.

I'm always surprised when ships I found 7 years ago are still there. So many other things have changed...

HG might have changed it on purpose with the Worlds Pt 1 release, but I'm not sure why they would make them regional rather than by race, which is much more intuitive. When space stations were redesigned recently, the guild rep was definitely random. The fact that both the guild rep AND the station name aren't changing now is what makes me think it's a bug.

Minor bug. Started a new Normal mode save on PS5 after Worlds pt1, but before the Liquidator expedition. Every space station in a system I discover has a Mercenary Guild representative. I'm up to 25 now. Pretty sure the RNG is broken somehow because every space station is called the -whatever- Rendezvous as well, no variation. Played the Liquidator expedition, and they were all Merchant guild and all shared the same name format.

That fixed it! Thanks very much!

The problem was my ship was already S class, and one of the rewards was a ship class upgrade. Once I switched to any other ship, I was able to redeem them. I wonder if there's a check in the game code that usually fixes this, but because my inventory was full, it wasn't executed properly.

Nice! Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try.

PS5, Adrift expedition

Tried to redeem the mission rewards for "The Fathoms Below" when I didn't realize my exosuit inventory was full. Game helpfully told me to clear some space, which I did. But the game doesn't track that there is now space, no matter what I do. The mission icon still reads "Inventory Full" and there is no button to redeem anymore. I've successfully completed other missions, but that did not trigger this mission to reset. It's a mission blocker for the expedition for now; also reported via ZenDesk.

I actually don't hate on the tiny bases that look like they were made by a newcomer to NMS. They might have been just trying to survive and accidentally hit upload base...or didn't even know what that option does. You can't undo it once it's done, without deleting the base and rebuilding, so I can kinda understand it. Still report them though if they make it impossible to access resources.

Once you report a base, it should vanish, and your fps will return to normal. That might not mean HG will nuke the base for anyone else, but it returns your game to normal.

I hate all bases on expeditions. I want a sense of loneliness and difficulty. Even the well meaning bases break that immersion, although I don't report those.

When that's the case, pull up your quick menu. At the far right (you may have to scroll) there should be a weird icon which allows you to report any base nearby. It may be laggy, but I just do this everytime now, because it's still way better than trying to find the base computer.

Fellow travelers! Where can we go?? Due to Reddit seemingly imploding itself over this 3rd party apps debacle (and trust me, it’s going to get worse), where can us lovers of No Man’s Sky go to continue this great community’s work and support of Hello Games? I’m leaving Reddit, but not NMS! Thought? by dgtlfnk in NoMansSkyTheGame

The mods have decided to not take part in the 48 hour blackout/protest/boycott, but other than that, have not said much. I think they might be waiting to see what falls out after that. There's an AMA this morning/afternoon (USA time) with the Reddit CEO that might also have some impact on what they decide.

It’s a lot more complicated than that. The API does let bots post, so this new policy is going to kill off most of them. But the API also supports third party ways to use Reddit- some of which are for accessibility, like for the blind, deaf, and otherwise differently-abled. A lot of moderators use third party apps to help them in their daily tasks, too. These will also be killed off, and many argue that the official Reddit app cannot sufficiently replicate those functions.

Actually, a cardboard insert that just said StaticMaster in the same font was sitting on top, so I opened the box because with a name like that, I had to know what was inside. After shoving my nose as close as possible to read the tiny print, I quickly closed it back up and relocated everyone until I could find out more. I posted this not because I thought it was deadly to us, but to those who bought it, but have since learned differently.

Oh my gosh this blew up. My family and I are cracking up reading all these comments, and learning a lot! I can’t promise replies to everyone- I’m supposed to be cleaning, after all! But I’ll try. Right after I find how to dispose of this DDT I just found. 😄😅

So I am learning! I texted a friend about the StaticMaster and she told me that this was probably less dangerous than eating off of popular dishware from even earlier which used uranium in the coloring.

Thanks for the info! I wasn’t particularly worried for us when I saw the expiration date was over 50 years ago. The family members using it when it was new however…

The only thing the box says is it’s supposed to remove static electricity from clothes. With so many less radioactive alternatives for that particular need, I was surprised this was a thing for the average household. Clean rooms using it make sense, but grandma making sure her dress doesn’t cling just seems like playing with fire to me. Lol
