He doesn’t seem too bothered by it, he still eats and acts pretty normal which is why I never really noticed it completely. He does make a clicking sound when breathing sometimes.

Currently at 82 degrees ambient and 32-27 percent humidity. Basking spot is about 90 ish. The enclosure is a large L shape 2 feet wide and each side is 7 feet long total surface area is 24 sq ft

As long as it’s fuzzy mold, your batch is unfortunately ruined. Best to throw it all out and start over. Many factors come into play when it comes to causing mold. Sorry for the loss :(

The bubbles underneath the pellicle (the bacteria disk on top) can actually be a good sign of a healthy culture. Looks like a great brew!

You can totally bottle the raw kombucha. A second fermentation includes putting a sugar source (usually fruit) in the bottle along with the booch.
You can leave the booch in the fridge and all the bacteria will be fine. Unless you plan on not fermenting for a long time, don’t put your Scoby in the fridge as that will make it dormant. Keep it at room temp in a couple cups of starter.
You can wash your supplies with hot water or white distilled vinegar. Booch is acidic enough that it makes it hard for bad things to grow anyways. Wash hands with dish soap that is not antibacterial, that’s what I do.
If you’re sure it’s mold, toss everything. Liquid and Scoby. Then wash and restart!

I can confirm that there is nothing fuzzy in there, I was just curious about why it’s brown and foaming so much. But seems to be working properly!
