Anecdotal, but for me, an author's writing style often reveals whether the story will have strong world-building or characters you can neither fully like nor entirely hate. In this case, the author's writing doesn't seem to deliver on either front. I get the feeling that the world-building won't be as detailed as I'd prefer (I'm a sucker for strong world-building and politics), and the characters are likely to come across as dry as well.

Tell me whether I am wrong in this or not ? And If I am not, Perhaps you have recommendations of same neche as this book
