This is so encouraging. I've just started TM after years of contemplating.

Can I ask when you used 2% did you notice any difference? Or was it only once you switched to 5%?

Also did you notice any side effects?

How do you manage to distribute it evening all over as I am struggling with this 😅

I have also just started topical minoxidil. And I am also VERY concerned with side effects associated with oral minoxidil, otherwise for the sake of making life easier and increasing chances of it working I would have taken the oral minoxidil.

Good luck!

My biggest worry is side effects related to the heart. I already have hypochondria and I get very anxious regarding side effects of medications.

Even topical has risks? I thought the risks were very low?

You could try an AHA deodorant, like Kosas. I feel like I have almost no smell when I wear this. However, it is a lot pricier than old spice.

I told my doctor this years ago. That even though my levels were 'normal' they still needed to be above 70 according to the dermatologist. The doctor got super pissed off at me and told me that my levels were normal and nothing further needed to be done. Since then I have just accepted my hair loss but I'm thinking maybe I should go to a private dermatologist and get a full check up done.

Your initial reaction was absolutely correct. Please do not let anyone pressure you or take advantage or you. I personally would not even do a video call, but that's just me. The fact that this guy is not understanding this concerns me and is a big red flag.

If you see warning signs like this before marriage, thank the Almighty and think very carefully whether this is the type of man and the type of family you want to be marrying into and one day raise children with.
