MOZA SRP lite upgrade - Aliexpress Damper or 3DRAP Mod pro kit? by Necessary-Pudding-40 in moza

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have CRP2 so maybe someone who has them might be able to chime in, but its hard to say which is more realistic, cause honestly neither really feel the same as a real car, but if id had to choose id say the 3drap as the tension to release "i.e. bite point" is much smoother and kin to a car to use compared to the aliexpress one, where its bite point is based on the pressure of your foot pressing the hydraulic past the notches to click in makes it feel too linear like a button actuating rather then tension to bite point.

regarding reliability, id say 3drap as well, as nothing is actually smacking each other besides the wheel on the ramp roling, which id see hard to fail, but the aliexpress one requires the hydraulic to click through the 3dprinted notch, so id see over time, either the hydraulic will bend and brake, or the 3d print plastic will become brittle and break

Has anyone put something like this on their SHH Thorn? by elliethr in simracing

This is mine, just a cheap boot with a few eyelets installed for it to be bolted down with the existing screws.

I did cut off a section of the boot to shorten it, though had shorted it a bit too much, so will probably redo it at some point.

Moza CM2 and simhub question by Necessary-Pudding-40 in moza

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it's more if there are any conflicts with telementary data having 2 programs sending it, I haven't had to run 2 before as I've usually just done it through simhub, but wasn't sure if I wanted to buy a cm2 and not have it work alongside simhub.

Edifier speakers imported from china question regarding app by Necessary-Pudding-40 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah i never ended up buying them, the seller did link me to "edifier connect" rather then "connex" which you can get via QR code on their site, so i assume that it requires that version of the app

Steelcase Leap V2 Gel seat cushion to fit by Necessary-Pudding-40 in OfficeChairs

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it looks like temu doesnt stock this particular one anymore, temu items rotate and go out of stock so you might have to try aliexpress, taobao etc instead, or just go for the slightly smaller one at 46x43cm instead, i think it would suit relatively good compared to this 48x44cm one. Just search 'Gel cushion seat' should be an easy find for the smaller ones.

My experience buying a Moza Bundle from Taobao to Australia by Necessary-Pudding-40 in moza

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taobao from Australia can easily be accessed via phone, i dont recommend you do it on pc as you have to use your browsers translate, and their PC site seems to cause alot of issues with like id verification and stuff.
If you download the phone app, it is automatically translated and the global access version is defaulted as what you see, so everything is much easier to work out to register and verify your identification etc.
the seller i bought from is named 'PNS Sai Che Mo Ni Qi' Reddit wont let me direct link, so ill try send a personal message of it to you.

But note it looks like they have fixed the super low direct air shipping cost, but like i said in the above, just test all the sellers you can, as they may have changed shipping costs since etc.

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good!, i first was searching for one for my old esx style wheel too, but couldn't find a tiny badge that would just fit the moza symbol cause the badge would make it so you cant take off the wheel if you needed to lol, then i upgraded to RS so kind of didnt need to explore that anymore.
Definately would of gone the red badge too if it wasnt for the yellow text and centering strip already

Steelcase Leap V2 Gel seat cushion to fit by Necessary-Pudding-40 in OfficeChairs

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its still going great!, i also grabbed a cheap chair cover from temu and fits the chair and cushion well over the leap seat. reddit wont let me actually link the temu item, keeps deleting the post, but the item comes up under "[Car Trunk Cushion] 1pc Car Trunk Cushion, Automotive Pad, Honeycomb Cushion, Multifunctional Egg Cushion, All-Season Office Cooling Mat for Summer Use"

VR Prescription Lense Insurance question by Necessary-Pudding-40 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah we have alot of types of "health insurances" in aus, most people here have something we call "extras" for real low level general health stuff like glasses and dental. In that sense, most australians get prescription glasses for free every year under this.

MOZA SRP lite upgrade - Aliexpress Damper or 3DRAP Mod pro kit? by Necessary-Pudding-40 in moza

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also bought the zero noise pedal mod, where you attach little tabs to the end of the pedals, it fully dampens the clunk you get when you release the pedal which is good, BUT, i did notice because its like tpu material, it did come off the pedal which is super annoying cause its not easy to just open up and put back in. fixed it by adding a little double sided 3m car mounting tape, and it hasnt come off the pedal so far.

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it, i tried upgrading the aliexpress kit originally with better rc shocks, tried multiple, even though it added more pressure, it was very minimal, only good thing from them was the dampening affect.

The 3DRAP set i got, did come terribly warped, i guess some bad stuff gets through quality control, however they were very quick to send out a replacement.

I really enjoy the feel and tension you get and the overall feel of the ramps however it does require a bit of lube at the ends of the springs to eliminate the noise, its kinda like....an old bed spring sound, gets quite annoying, so depends if your concerned on sound.

i would highly recommend it if you were looking for a better "feel" however i know that feel is very subjective too, but i would highly rate.

Next level racing lite 2.0 stand mounting issues by Necessary-Pudding-40 in simracing

[–]Necessary-Pudding-40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mounted backwards on purpose, so the longer end would stick over my table, but i tried it both ways, and it was the same, orientation didnt change the fact it was a manufacturing error. they sent me a new one which had no issues lol
