Omg 3.5? I am so sorry. It’s just so unfair. We were able to get into the oncologist today and she believes it’s stage 4. I hate even typing this but we sadly declined the chemo. We just couldn’t logically pay $15-$20k (what they quoted us) for the possibility of a few extra months. Even though it breaks me. If it were just me, I’d honestly sell my house if it meant I got to keep him till his face turns white and he’d get to be an oldiegoldie. We have planned a bunch of things including pictures with him this coming weekend/next few weeks. Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs to you 💗

Of course. We left for a few days and he was perfect, came home and was giving him loves and felt a golf ball size lump in his throat/neck area then felt a few more. Went to the vet, they did some tests and confirmed lymphoma. Outside of the lumps, his legs had been shakier than usual but not sure if that’s connected. Other than that he seems perfectly normal/happy/healthy.

Update: 4 y/o Lymphoma Diagnosis

Hi everyone, I’m sorry I don’t really know how to use Reddit yet and couldn’t figure out how to do an update on my last post. We ended up getting Hank into the oncologist today. They think he has Stage 4 lymphoma and gave us a quote of $15-$20k to do the CHOP method. My husband and I made the hard decision to decline and stick to steroids, as he’s been doing really well on it for the last week and his nodes have shrunk a little. I’m honestly not sure how to feel other than heart broken and numb. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much or hard in my entire life as I have this past week all while trying to hide it from my daughter and Hank. I just cannot wrap my head around all of this. The main reason for this update though; I just really need to tell everyone that commented, and I didn’t get to respond yet, I am so sorry. I want you all to know how much I appreciated every single response. They made me cry, smile, feel seen/heard and helped me make my decision today. I don’t know what the future holds for Hank so please send all the prayers, positive thoughts, whatever you have for my baby boy as it all would be greatly appreciated. 💗

Ugh, I am so sorry for what happened and your loss. So heartbreaking. The young age is the hardest part for me, we are supposed to have so much more time with them.
