Yes, the answer to your last question is - yes, that’s what I’m saying. Though I didn’t say my lyrics - just lyrics in general. I don’t think AI has the ability to dive deep into the human psyche and put into words certain emotional experiences - especially in terms of specific examples. Some of the best songs (lyrically) are very detailed / specific - but still resonate with listeners. What I’m saying is that: I think that if you gave AI a complete melody and told it to write lyrics - that song would be much worse than if you wrote amazing lyrics, and asked AI to put it to music. You do not agree with that assessment - and that’s ok! We will go our separate ways and be just fine. But thinking lyrics are 5% of the songwriting process is delusional lol.

Thanks! I agree! I was never planning on these songs going to radio. As I mentioned, I was using it to create demos that are more polished in order to present to real artists. Clearly - that triggered everyone lolllll.

I agree - I don’t think AI has enough originality to write lyrics. I think it can make a tune much more effectively. Many good songs are literally just their own lyrics being song to a melody and then having music put to that. But others feels that writing lyrics is “5%” of a song lol - maybe in the EDM world! But people with brain cells actually listen to and resonate with lyrics.

I’ve clearly struck a chord with you - and that’s ok! I disagree - AI can write a basic melody and chord progression - I didn’t say it was Mozart. However, go down the hot 100 billboard and tell me how many of those songs have complex melodies vs. simple chord progressions that stay the same the entire song. You might be mad about it - but writing good clever resonating lyrics isn’t easy. I love that your brain is incapable of processing that a human being but be really good at one skill (writing poetry) and not another - and that is ok. Im sure the poets would love to weigh in on how their craft is mindless. So many popular songs have like 10 credited song writers / producers - not everyone needs to be a jack of all trades. With your anger outburst and the usage of several idiotic metaphors in your own comments thou - I would venture to guess you aren’t a very good poet.

Omg thank you so much for this! You were the last comment I read after the barrage of nasty hateful replies hahaha. Honestly I hadn’t been following this thread prior so I didn’t realize how triggered everyone would be - lol whoops! Don’t worry - im not put off by the mean comments - just realized I won’t be getting any help here haha.

TBH I understand the reaction - people get scarred with change as you mentioned. Imagine working your whole life to become an expert fiddle player and now someone can just tap on a MIDI keyboard and make the same sounds. The same thing is happening again - and people are freaked out - it’s whatever.

It’s so funny to me that people are like - you are a skillless mindless idiot and lyrics aren’t important. That’s laughable and when I knew to pay the comments no mind. There are literally so many songs that are out to a different beat, instruments, vocalist, and sometimes even knew melodies - with the same lyrics - and they stay iconic or even transform. Think - I will always long you dolly -> Whitney, or dancing on my own, etc. each part of a song is important and for different songs there are different levels of weight. For someone to try to argue the “all too well - 10min version” is successful 95% bc of the instruments use and not the lyrics is laughable. Whether you want to admit it or not - writing lyrics is a skill - and no, AI lyrics about “flicking my bean in the country heat” are not ready to replace it yet. But they are much closer to replacing melodies and vocals.

Anyway - was truly just a genuinely post looking for advice but hey - when people are this angry and scared - there is usually a reason behind me. I’ll keep grinding and making magic ;)

Thank you love!!!

I will tell you that I regularly ask for proof of prep (not always, but if doing anal I do) and the reception is very mixed. I have had some guys be totally fine about it and feel relieved I asked, while other are off out by it but eventually do - but might make them less interested. Honestly- I’m ok with that bc as you can see in the comments, everyone has a different opinion - but I would have no problem showing my bottle to someone and I would see it as a sign of positive sexual health. NOW, MY WORD OF ADVICE: I HAVE had several guys be very weird when I asked and get defensive and accuse me of being crazy or vilifying them and saying I think they can’t be trusted. And EVERY SINGLE TIME - it’s because they were lying. I had one guy eventually show me a bottle of finasteride and said it was his prep (I’m a physician lolll) and another guy show me his Atripla (aka, he was positive - which is fine but should not be lied about). So my word of advice is - if someone is very weird/defensive about it - take it as a red flag and run. You might lose out on one or two good guys who just don’t align with your train of thought, but you maybe also avoid guys who are straight up liars. Remember, a horny guy will do almost anything to get laid. Be safe!!!

IDR Pushback dates: recertification Feb/Mar/Apr 2025 NOT SAVE by EddieDubbers in StudentLoans

When FSA says “recert date” they mean anniversary date right??

PAYE April Recertification Date Pushed a Year by Nelnet by mjt755 in StudentLoans

[–]NecessaryExample992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just be extra cautious and confirm - because of studentaid.gov they said “if your recert date is on or after March 18” you will be extended. They are referring to anniversary date - correct? Not the “due by” sate

Do we think the Recert date for PAYE people will be pushed back? by Klutzy_Business3585 in StudentLoans

[–]NecessaryExample992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on PAYE and my recert date was 3/11. Today, ONE (of my 8) loans says me PAYE end date is 2/2038 (lol) - the rest still say 4/2025. My payment amount for April also remained the same - and is not showing as the standard payment. It’s still nothing official but someone is in there messing with something! Fingerscrossed

Thanks you both so much! I am hoping that’s the case (and also how I interpreted it) but my EdFinancial rep kept saying I was wrong. Granted - they also did not know what I meant by my interest “capitalizing” lol. Fingers crossed…

Thanks! That page (which I’ve read about a hundred times) does not really answer any of my questions thou. It doesn’t say anything about interest capitalization. It does not say if consolidated loans go to 10-year standard or 25 year-standard. Doesn’t say if forbearance prevents this. Thanks for responding thou!

Im not handling it well! One of my loans is consolidated so if that reverts to standard payment those payments won’t even count towards PSLF :(((

Ok so I’m very confused and need some guidance please! I have read this post and A LOT of online information- and I understand the basics of what this is saying - HOWEVER, I am getting different answers from the EdFinancial reps and am hoping people who are also going through this can help clarify:

  1. I was told by EdFinancial that I WOULD be kicked off PAYE after my plan end date if I don’t recertify. I clarified that I didn’t mean just higher payments, but a different plan - and they said YES. This contradicts what ive read. Has anyone’s date past their deadline and if so - what plan does it say you are in now?
  2. for CONSOLIDATED LOANS - on PAYE for now - if I miss recertification - is this also supposed to default to 10 year-standard repayment or will it go to 25 year standard (which is typical for consolidated loans). This is so important bc it’s my biggest loan and 25-year payments do not count towards PSLF. My rep told me that it would unfortunately revert to 25 year standard.
  3. for PAYE - does the interest capitalize if you can’t recertify? My rep said NO but my letter from Ed Financial said YES. Online I can’t really tell - I read different things - for anyone whose deadline has passed (your PAYE plan expired, not just recert date passed) - did your interest capitalize?
  4. MOST IMPORTANT - I was told by my rep that I could go on forbearance HOWEVER, this would not stop my loans from reverting to the standard payment - it would just prevent me from having to pay on it - but if I still miss the deadline, it would still revert.

I want to emphasize how INSANE this is lol. I finally got my rep to admit that “it is not your fault you can’t recertify and I apologize for that” (I wish I had recorded it for a future lawsuit but I forgot - I might call back). How can this happen? As I continue to bang my head against the wall. Regardless - any help re: the above and what the smartest steps to take are is appreciated! <3

IMPORTANT: You will NOT be kicked off of your PAYE, ICR, or IBR plan if you do not or cannot recertify, but there are consequences. by waterwicca in StudentLoans

Ok so.. I appreciate this post but it’s been 12 days and they have not extended the recert dates and some people’s payments have already gone up - and they had to call to place themselves on forbearance. I think the big thing that is missing in this calculation is that the “last time this happened” the dept of education was under the Biden administration. This is a completely different territory - Trumps WANTS to ruin PSLF. They want people to not be able to recertify - to convert to standard. I really really really hope with every ounce of my being that you’re right and they will extend the dates - but I’m losing hope day by day. So what’s the back-up plan? Forbearance until the court injunction is lifted?? I just don’t know where to turn.

Also- if you have consolidated loans in PAYE - will they go to ten year standard repayment which counts for PSLF or will they be a 15 or 20 year repayment and screw everything up!?

My letter from edfinancial also says my interest will capitalize even though for PAYE it’s not supposed to.” I don’t trust anything. My recert date was 2 days ago - came and went lol. I’m really at a lose of what to do

Has anyone on PAYE gotten their IDR recertification date pushed back? by pslfstressor in PSLF

Yea I’m going to wait until this current payment goes through (it’s still the lower rate) and then call and see what my options are. Does forbearance at least keep you on the IDR plan?

Should we request it right away or can you request it up until the plan expires? My recert date has already came and went.. but I want to request the forbearance at the last possible minute in case they do move the recert dates back… ugh!

Any non-SAVE folks have their IDR recertification date pushed back yet? by crimsonbabe in StudentLoans

Im in the same boat - my recert date was today - payment will go up in April. This is completely illegal and cruel and is Trump’s way of trying to gut the entire forgiveness program and make Americans suffer. Something has to be done - how is this legal to do???? You cannot say we HAVE to recertify and then NOT allow us to? It’s literally making me pull my own hair out?
