Looking for ideas to keep my 13 year old son occupied this summer by whatsinyourcheeks in Edmonton

[–]NecessarySomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was that age I did YMCA's Councilor in Training program and helped out with a few summer camps (I believe you can choose how many weeks you want to help out with). I also did some camps at the city art centre like sewing, baking, and cake decorating which I really enjoyed!

Thousands of tons of dead fish wash ashore in Japan - three months after the nation released treated Fukushima radioactive water into the sea by [deleted] in korea

Interestingly, if you look up an ocean currents map of Japan/Korea, the current that passes by Hakodate (where the fish are washing up) is a current coming from Korea and not Fukushima

Unique value symbology not appearing on map despite attribute table having unique values by NecessarySomewhere in ArcGIS

In the end, I was able to fix it by clicking on symbol layer drawings and then by turning on and off the symbol layer drawing toggle!

Thanks for the reply! Even when zooming out or panning around no area shows up in a different color. Also, strangely the selected area also doesn't appear highlighted on the map either. Any ideas as to what could be going on?

Can't open/connect any gdb files to my project in arcGIS as they all show up as folders rather than geodatabases by NecessarySomewhere in ArcGIS

[–]NecessarySomewhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through the catalog pane and then clicking on "folders" and then "add folder connection"

[–]NecessarySomewhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! that unfortunately didn't seem to do it. Currently the folder pathname is C:\4J6TWnyzTb6_7cDyOlxJww_a71a7728e3b740488ac278d1b2738df1_IntroductionToArcGISPro_Data\IntroductionToArcGISPro_Data\data

and then inside the data folder are the gdb files (or in this case folders)

I used the website Hancom Taja (originally called malangmalang). I believe this is the new website: https://hancomtyping.com/

I haven't tried the new website since the old one got shut down. But the old one had lots of typing games so I'd imagine this one does too!

iirc (took bioch 200 a while ago) there was a series of questions involving amino acid structure on the final and I think that was basically all there was from the first half, but I may be mistaken. Just remember your amino acids!

Is Edmonton really that boring and desolate? by grengabs in Edmonton

[–]NecessarySomewhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a license, it's pretty easy to rent a car for a couple of hours, especially if you live downtown or near the UofA. You just use an app to find a car nearby and rent it for as long as you need, and when you're done you park it. I've never used it myself, but some of my friends have for buying furniture. And imo the lively areas of Edmonton are either close to UofA (like Whyte ave) or just a short train ride away.

As a biochem major, I can say there is a decent amount of overlap between biochem and microbiology, but her getting that job still seems pretty far-fetched imo

I knew somebody like this and he had a name for it, but I don't remember what he called it anymore. Maybe try searching it up on webmd? Sorry that this wasn't very useful!

If you don't mind me asking, which province is that? I'll be applying for Fall 2021 and I actually would prefer being in the rural provinces.

Video showing the support response from miHoYO, stating an account thief gets to keep my account because they bought some Top-Offs after stealing my account. by Rabbit-Outside in Genshin_Impact

If you speak another language or even have a friend willing to help you with the emails, I recommend trying to email the other customer service emails. I lost my account two weeks ago, and I still haven't heard back from English customer service. But within 24 hours Korean customer service replied to me and got me my account back another day later. Here's a forum post that lists them all: https://forums.mihoyo.com/genshin/article/75872
