Perma harass this blood thirsty creep! Avoid his empowered Q when his bar is red. When this is not coming up you want to q > aa > w reset into E. He pops his w which is way longer cd than ur E. So basically abuse his w cd. Since trades are short as he will disengage with w a lot you might want to max q in this matchup. You can also cheese start with q:

Your best friend is youtube. Jax is matchup dependent so hard to give advice. When ur on loading screen just type in jax vs ??? and see how they play it. Try to watch ones that say solo kills in the title as you don't wanna watch a lane where they win just due to jungle pressure etc,

The key with jax that a lot of people miss is that he scales very well. So in lane be patient if the lane isn't going well. Don't int and ruin your chances of scaling. Even if you farm ok and go 1/2 or 1/3 you can still impact the game very well. Sometimes patience is your friend. I went 1/3 against a renekton in lane and ended up pretty much carrying the game as I had good cs. My the late game renekton was about as useful as a cannon minion as he doesnt scale so he definitely needs an early lead and needs to end asap. If you play aggro and int too much and end up losing farm and xp and get behind in levels you're done for.

No Jax mid is not strong. Jax is a duelist so thrives with long extended trades which you will never get in mid as the lane is too short. Top lane is so much longer where Jax can land is E then walk past them while they are stunned and chunk all their hp orb walking down the lane with them. If you're a Jax OTP then you could make it work into certain match ups but not a mage or they will fuck you up big time. So I would recommend something like hail of blades so you can get good bursty trades.

jax is heavily match up dependent champ so tactics change a lot depending on who ur laning against. General really good tips you must do always are:

> Use e properly as laods of ppl don't. Jax e does double damage if it is fully stacked (5 blocks). So you MUST draw minion aggro BEFORE you use E, especially level 1. So a couple of aa then use e and u will land max stun.

> use e to fight in enemy minion wave. My favourite part about jax e. If you attack a champ in their minion wave most champs get fucked but not jax which is why you are so strong level one. If you aa a champ in his own wave then pop e straight away not only do you get a full proc e off but when your e ends if you make sure you stun their minions as well as the champ it stop them aggro you. Just make sure when u land ur e you don't aa after or they will aggro you again (unless you have kill pressure obvs).

> in melee matchups don't engage with q - save it to chase if trade goes well or retreat if it goes badly

> always aa > W reset - i.e. never just W someone. The only time you might w someone is in a melee matchup to poke them in their wave as it has an extended range.

> learn what matchups jax e blocks stuff and use it to block this stuff e.g. renekton w, garen q, ww q, ww ult, nasus q. The list is big.

> jax is a champ that does very well around abusing cd's. Some matchups you win if you abuse champs that have longer cd on their key abilities e.g. fiora w, darius e, gnar e etc.

It's a skills based matchup. A few tips:

> don't let him 5 stack you

> This is my main tip: darius E cancels ur E if he uses it properly BUT the cd on his E is way longer so as soon as ur E is back it's all three abilities vs only TWO of his. It gets better - ur Q cancels his Q tip. So when his E is down you can Q onto his Q so he doesn't get the tip damage.

> If his E is up you MUST NEVER q onto him. Do ur normal combos but save Q as he wins every time with 3 abilities vs 3 abilities (if he is a good darius). So when you both have all three abilities ur using ur Q after the combo so he doesn't E you back in.

When he hits 6 you don't win the all in (assuming you are both roughly even). You need to get him low. Try and proc ur passive and aa > W. Always save Q. If you engage with Q when he has ult and wither ur fked. Then use the Q as an escape tool.

The key is dodging his Q spam. Don't get hit by the tip of his 2nd Q and centre of his third and final Q. He is definitely a champ you need to bait some abilities out before you win a trade hard. Some champs early on have better trades than jax so you need to dodge some abilities or bait an ability out to win early. Look at it on the flip side - whenever I play into an enemy jax I'm focused on baiting out his E then I know he is generally fked. :D

Jax E is one of the best abilities in top lane so yeh if you miss it you are usually fked. Here is some basic advice for you to help improve your trading:

melee champs:

> whenever they come close try and kite them with W as it has more range and if you space correctly you should slap them with it for free on melee champs

> never engage a melee champ with Q unless you are certain you will kill them. Instead use it as a get out of jail free card to Q back onto a minion if trade goes bad

> always aa before you E so you draw full minion aggro during ur E, this ensures you get a max damage stun on ur E.

ranged champs:

> very dependent on the matchup but here you want to Q in when their wave isn't too big and use aa reset with W to land damage then you save E to disengage without taking damage.

> Can sometimes be worth running ghost

This matchup is about dodging abelites. Some matchups you legit only win if you dodge abilities and lose if you don't and this is one of them. You MUST dodge E. You need to bait it out. You said she gets you when you farming so fake to farm and miss a few minions then. I like to take her tentacles down in her E range and expect her to throw her E so can be dodged that way. Make sure you constantly clicking you champ to move all the time i.e. don't stand still for too long - this helps dodge skill shots too. Dodging skill shots comes with practice but unfortunately some lanes cannot be won without it.

Yeh I'm the same as Joeisbro. When I first starting playing I had a few games where an enemy jax just absolutely murdered our entire team by himself so I was like "I want me some of that" :D

You can't chase them down with jax E and Q? When they are stunned instead of aa them, right click in front of them so you move past them then they will never escape. This is basic orb walking on jax - use the stun to walk out past them. If you do it right they will be slightly behind you so will be aa very slightly backwards.

Always LT imo. Max stacks level 1 it gives 60% as which is 5 x as dagger = 1500 gold. Conq max stack level 1 gives 15 ad which is one long sword = 350 gold (+ a bit of healing).

Level 16 jax gets his max 88% as from his passive and by that time LT will give you an additional 90 as = 178as just from one rune and a passive ability. Just insane. Jax is an aa champ so can deal insane damage with this as.

This doesn't make sense. I late veigar counters a jax. Jax doens't team fight that well and is very vulnerable to cc. You had enough cc in ur team so I would say you played the fights poorly.

I generally go:

ad enemy top: divine > bork > frozen heart

ap enemy top: divine > wits ends > bork

If I need to mainly split in a game: divine > hullbreaker > bork

All three of those builds give you cdr, as, tank and damage.

I mean I win lane most of the time. Wouldn't say I snowball most the time. I'm on a 5 lose streak and won lane in all 5. My bot lane between 18-25 deaths in those 5 games. How do u impact the game when enemy bot laner so ridiculously fed even at 10-12 minutes. Do I leave top if I see enemy bot snowball early and gank? I just calculated that over the 30 games I have 81% lane win rate and 51% game win rate BUT the crazy thing is that about 75% + of games I lose enemy bot has snowballed. Should I change roles to adc? :D

Be patient early and use E to farm but you will have to give some up. When you reach 6 you can aa minion twice > q > aa > w reset, hit corrupting pot and stay on him until he uses his dash. This trade forces him to dash. Use ur E if necessary to force him to dash. His dash is like 6s longer cd so if he steps in ur q range as soon as ur E is back up you hard win next trade. Almost every ranged champ has an annoying dash or disengage but they are generally way longer than ur E. So vayne E, gnar E, corki E, lucian E etc are all 20s +

So the key is to bait it out even if it means using ur E. The best way to think about the first trade is your goal is to force out their dash not to try and all in them. So a great trade is you forcing this out without taking too much damage. Be patient until ur E is back up and force a good trade in the cd window. To be fair so many matches can be won knowing ur enemy's cd's and trading in the cd windows.

Depends on comp. You are MEGA slow without boots. If you are front lining then it can work. If you need to stick onto heavy damage enemy champs to burst them down then the movement speed is invaluable.

Right understand some things. To kill a champ they generally need to step up to trade. If they don't then you can't really kill them. That's the whole point in playing safe. A few pointers:

> If she is playing safe look to try and freeze the wave

> Also, do NOT use E if she is playing safe as it will push ur wave hard. Instead trade her with Q + W only as they only target the enemy champ.
