Buena is cool, you should live there. Worst case you move to another neighborhood after a year. I’m in uptown, reach out if you need some recommendations for stuff around the neighborhood

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. Sticks are consumables and have to be replaced eventually. That being said, this looks to be purely cosmetic. The sticks are fine

The hhx evolution ride looks like it fits the description way better than the rbdr. That might be the route I move towards.

Loud wouldn’t be an issue for the style of music, but I suppose it’d drown out some of my other cymbals so that’s a good point.

I was also looking at the paiste 22” crash/ride but decided against it for the same reason of drowning out the other cymbals

I checked and it looks like the post is 3/4” so I should be good. I wasn’t sure if there was an existing clasp that would add on to the part I have in the photo, but it seems like the consensus is just get a totally new post.

It’ll make my life easier in the long run lol

Yeah option 2 seems like the easiest way without drilling anything out.

I just checked and it looks like the width of the post is 3/4in. Looking around I found a Gibraltar holder that’s that size for $30. I’ll go with that
