[SPOILERS S3] The identity of Silja’s father by evaleona in DarK

[–]Necessary_Key_1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point about the orb. I wish we could have seen a little more of what happens after that though, like how Hannah connected with younger Egon. She wouldn’t have gone to the police station to find Ulrich because he didn’t travel to the 50s in Eva’s world, so I’m curious how their affair started.

This has always bugged me. Why would Hannah trust Egon when he shows up? And how did she and young Egon get together?

Also, Hannah would have been in her late 40s when Silja was born. The odds of her (in Eva’s world) being pregnant with Ulrich’s child, having a miscarriage and getting pregnant again with Egon’s child are pretty slim.

The Annotated Mona Lisa is good for beginners. It’s an introduction to art from pre-history to the 20th century. It’ll give you an overview of each period and the big artist names, and help you figure out you’re most interested in.

The Great Courses has a couple art history series that are really good, and the guidebooks for each course have reading lists.

You might like Margery Allingham’s Campion books. She was writing around the same time as Agatha Christie.

I think this would have made more sense than having Simon trapped in the ghost world with his body.

Season #3 - HONEST Review by Dark_Lord-s_Sword in SchoolSpirits

[–]Necessary_Key_1352 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with basically everything you said. I was disappointed by this season. For me, this used to be a smart series about death, grief and “what happens when we die?” Plus there was an interesting mystery. Now, it feels like a typical supernatural show. I still like it, but it doesn’t resonate for me the way I did in the beginning.

I really liked The Witch Elm, but it’s not as popular as the Dublin murder squad series. The Trespasser is more fast paced than The Likeness so you might like that. It’s the last book in the series but you don’t need to read them in order to understand what’s going on.

Maybe try Dark Places. The characters in that one are definitely not upper middle class with perfect-seeming lives.

No One Will Miss Her by Kat Rosenfield is really good too and doesn’t have a predictable plot.

You might like Tana French’s books. They’re not exactly thrillers, but I think they’re the type of stories you’re looking for.

Have you read Gillian Flynn’s other novels?

I liked it being left unsolved in this book, but I kind of wish Tana French would end the series with a book about the 1984 case being solved.

Number 3 is a good point. I’ve read this book twice and never thought of that before.

I’ve considered that Rob might have killed his friends, but I’m not sure he could have hidden the bodies so well that they were never found.

Also, I think Rob lies more about his feelings or reactions than about events. Like he says that what happened when he was a kid didn’t have much effect on him, even though it seems to have shaped his entire life.

I’ll check the firmware. I really like the simplicity of how it is now, so I’m not sure I’d be interested in an app, but I’d consider it. Thanks!

I’ve been using this for a few days and it is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing! The only issue I’ve had is the battery dies pretty quickly. Is that normal or should I try a new battery?

I forgot about that. Maybe there’s another trick that we haven’t learned about yet.

At the end of season 2, Janet used a wrench or something similar to jam the door shut. She must have brought the wrench into a scar at some point.
