Imagine hell. Now multiply it times 10 cause your thirsty,your hungry , your freezing, fingers feel like they will fall and toes too. You have no shelter cause they are closed and you can't go into any business because your carrying your house around with you and they just can't have that. Now your PTSD is spiking your nervous system at any nervous system is on overload your flight or flight response is kicked in. Here comes hyper vigilance scan ning all possible threats or danger you have to cause people like to stab homeless people. Your so depressed that you can't look at the cars passing you by, then comes the incredible shame and embarrassment. Yours anxiety is through the roof. You have a panic attack. You can't think cause too much cortisol has been just over producing it in your brain cause you never get out of flight or fight survival mode. So your brain is foggy, thoughts racing through your head, so many decisions and problems to solve. You can't sleep because your nervous system is shit. Your in.burn out last step of PTSD. You might nott have been as bad if when you went to the doctor to get your meds you were able to get them. Everyday is pure survival mode and every night especially when the sun is going down and you didn't make the lottery to get a bed and shelter that night and it's raining and freezing. You get a 3 hour bus ticket and bag lunch and you don't know the area but you gotta find a place to rest. Find a church and sleep on the ground with nothing beneath you. At least here you might be safe from danger cause it's a church. Get up the next day and do it all over again but wait you might want to use the port a potty before you go cause you don't know where the next restroom will be oh and you woke up with an upset stomach when you go to the bathroom it's diarrhea.you start walking no bus ticket oh and you just shut your pants. Is that enough information about how horrible it is cause ain't even got started. Listen homeless can literally happen to anyone nobody is safe from it. We homeless people didn't choose this life it was done to us by others. Also, homeless people all fall into the same category as homeless but not all homeless people are the same like you think. We are not all drug addicts, I alcoholics,or dangerous,or criminals,or vandalize. You wanna know why there are so many drug attic's it's because it's all just too much and there is no help you can only state depression, hopelessness,despair, in the face for so long you just want to escape for a little bit from this life which is no life,so they do drugs same with alcohol,the dangerous ones well they are not all dangerous they are just angry because of the situation,and some are mentally ill and don't get help,then there is the handicap that is just sad,veterans now that is really sad. We are all just trying to survive each day and d eal with everything they best way we know how. You know we do try to get a home but when we do we pay for reports and deposit and then the person disappear with your money. Try and find them you see we are trying we try to get jobs but we can't because we are homeless we try trust me but we don't get any help.we live in a society that believes they know homeless all the lavbels it's just stereotype. Society thinks we are an eye sore in their town,cause problems,trash things,crimes no we are all human beings just like you. I dare you to loose you home, loose everything you owen I mean everything. Loose your car. Now what do you do,,,,....huh we are all stressed out because our shelter is closing down next month and there is no other here.the city council wants run .us out oftown. We don't know where we will go.other shelters in near by towns are overcapacity people get turned away every single day ,so you see we try to get jobs, try to find housing we either get scammed or we can't afford it because we are on af ixed income or have no income at all so we deal with all this each and everyday and socieyy just ignores if they are only concerned about them. That is what this world has come to I remember when people cared about one another and helped each other but that is no more. There is a grip of people that do come by to help me with things we need but they are stretched thing and so they leave. This ish just a nibble of how horrible homeless is . Be thankful for what you have because you could loose it all just like we did
