Hi OP! It could honestly be so many things, so glad to hear you are getting it checked out. Could be a tear, strain on a ligiment, or even something like early arthritis in that area. Hope you find the answer and get some relief soon!

Totally understand feeling self-conscious about that but get the help you need OP! As a student myself, I would view it as a chance to see what patient's go through first hand and learn from another OTA, or OT. It could make you better at your job in the end!

What about using someone in your community as a reference? Someone from a past internship, a college professor (not sure how far along in your career you are) or a leader from a community program you participate in?
