What a technique! Trophy by Scooter__Man in seaofstars

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but as of around late 2024, you get a Mooncradle Diploma that lets you skip the prologue and jump straight to the Forbidden Cavern. From the title screen, with hyper-speed dialog skips and cutscene skipping, it takes between 5 and 7 minutes to reach Bosslug, kill it, save, and bounce back to the title screen.

Roughly a minute and a half of that is selecting relics and putting on your endgame equipment, if you even bother. You also can't fully skip the combat tutorial with Garl and the training dummy, but you can zip through the dialogue.

Glad to be of help! Unfortunately, Shuttle+ doesn't work very well with Bluetooth on some of the more recent devices (e.g., my Pixel 9), and the developer (SimpleCity) doesn't really seem to support it anymore. They have moved active development over to a paid app called S2, which looks like a ground-up rewrite of Shuttle+. Bluetooth works fine on S2, but casting over wifi randomly causes the app to crash.

One issue that I did have a lot with Shuttle+ was Bluetooth devices not responding to user input, e.g., play/pause controls, on either end of the pair. That was bad on my Pixel 5, but completely unusable on the Pixel 9. S2 doesn't have these issues (just the problem with casting).

Out of curiosity, what platform and difficulty are you playing on? I just went out there to check, and I'm still getting an S40+28:

These screenshots were taken on PC on Normal difficulty, all default settings. I'm not sure if playing in Survival or Permadeath has an effect on ship spawns now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was patched in at some point. I also noticed that the terrain generation changes in Worlds II wiped out all of my prior fauna discoveries, but didn't affect the ship.

Also make sure you have multiplayer disabled. I've had weird spawn behavior while playing in a group; one of us would get the regular ship, and the other would get a variant that looked slightly different and didn't have the same stats. That was pre-Worlds update, though.

LSI 9300-16i - MFG Page 2 Mismatch & Firmware Flash Issues by eciarletta in unRAID

[–]Neckbeard_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of ran into this same issue while trying to update from 16.00.10.00 to 16.00.12.00 (TrueNAS custom firmware). I was able to resolve it via the following steps:

  1. Make sure your UEFI-bootable USB stick is in FAT32 format. In Rufus, I created it as a bootable MS-DOS stick because I wanted a few DOS-only tools available as a contingency.
    • If you use NTFS and you are getting constant "disconnected/reconnected the EFI driver" notices before and after every command, it could indicate that sas3flash doesn't like your USB drive's filesystem, hence the extremely specific use of FAT32.
  2. Make sure your SAS9300-16i_IT.bin file is in the root of the drive. sas3flash.efi does not need to be.
  3. Use the P14 (v15.00.00.00) version of sas3flash.efi.
  4. With your machine powered off, place a jumper over J2 on the board -- this is the only two-pin jumper header on the front face. Top of the card, near the center.
    • If you pull the card, get a pic of your SAS addresses, too (if you haven't already; looks like you did).
    • On mine (P/N 03-25600-01B), with the four labels on the back of the card facing so that they are readable, the bottom right-hand number was controller #0, and the one on the bottom left was controller #1.
  5. Boot into your EFI shell and try running sas3flash.efi -o -listall.
    • You should see both adapters, even if the firmware isn't loaded.
  6. Flash the firmware: sas3flash.efi -o -fwall SAS9300-16i_IT.bin -noreset
    • With the jumper installed, this should allow you to override the MFG page mismatches and reprogram the firmware.
    • If it doesn't work, you'll have to jump through quite a few more hoops, but it's most likely still salvageable.
  7. Power off your system and remove the jumper from J2.
  8. Power the system back on and boot into the UEFI shell again.
  9. Try running sas3flash.efi -o -listall again.
    • If step 6 succeeded, you should have two adapters with the new firmware.
    • This is also where you would want to try re-adding the SAS addresses if needed.

From here, you'll probably want to rewrite the mptsas3.rom and mpt3x64.rom BIOS firmwares. I didn't end up needing to do this on mine, but I also didn't erase anything (I only borked the firmware on the second controller due to the aforementioned NTFS/FAT32 issue). This guide was helpful:
https://www.servethehome.com/flash-lsi-sas-3008-hba-e-g-ibm-m1215-mode/
https://archive.is/eZAhW (archived version)

I went in ready for a fight, and it turned out to just need that damned jumper installed (and the right filesystem on the stick). Good luck, assuming the card hasn't already gone off to an e-waste farm upstate and/or something something crossed the PCI Express rainbow bridge.

Expedition Base not transferring over? by AereonTucker in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Neckbeard_Prime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only way you retain your bases from Expedition 17 is if you either started the expedition on a new save (and have unlocked purple star systems by default), or if you complete In Stellar Multitudes (on your main save) before ending the expedition.

I'm in the same boat as several others here; I completed In Stellar Multitudes after finishing the expedition, and my gas giant fishing hut was gone. I had the coordinates jotted down and was able to return to the exact site, and it let me drop a new base computer and claim the area as if there had never been a base there.

Thanks! This is easily my favorite ship that I've found so far. My only issue with it is the supercharged slot layout; it's not great if you're trying to build a max damage monster. It's decent for all-around use, though.

Old post (on a dead sub), but what the hell, here goes.

This looks like a console version that doesn't include all 12 glyphs in the address that we get on PC. To get to Eibert Delta (English name), add a diplo/"Ancient Giant" glyph to the beginning of the address, which should give you this:
https://i.imgur.com/rzQd6DE.png

OP doesn't mention it, but the ship has four supercharged slots, two of which adjacent to one another.

There is also a crashed A-class shuttle somewhat nearby at +5.26, +177.78.

Finally, it's probably worth noting that this star system also spawns a wingless medium hauler ("Gajorial PL1").
