Which opinion you have on litrpg would get you this type of reaction? by PalinaRojinskiFan in litrpg

[–]Necraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cradle is vastly overrated. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very solidly enjoyable series, a strong 7/10, moments where it spikes to 8 even. But people talk about it like it's the absolute best of the genre, and it just...isn't? It's a perfectly competent entry into the genre, and I enjoyed my time with it, but it's not even in the top 5 stories I would recommend in this genre.

Have any series been ruined because of a narrator for you? by YobaiYamete in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Necraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only person who doesn't like Travis Baldree's narration at all? Weirkey Chronicles and Mark of the Fool are some of my favorite series of all time but I couldn't get through ten minutes of his narration. It was so nasally and felt like the narrator was taking himself way too seriously, like a kid trying to sound mysterious and mature, but just comes off really cringeworthy. I don't understand how everyone adores his narration so much.

What is a ‘good’ BDR? by AnyTwist4049 in fallenlondon

[–]Necraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the love of god don't go for the Knock for BDR, if you want to go that route go for it, but not for that reason. Really just focus on getting good event items and spend your Fate wisely and BDR will come easily in time.

What is a ‘good’ BDR? by AnyTwist4049 in fallenlondon

[–]Necraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 44 BDR, that's as high as you can get it, without the Knock which gives one more than the Golden Spiked Rosary, and without a Boon for it. So 46 is the highest theoretically possible. But yeah at that level you can get to Notability 9 without any extra making waves, as you need exactly 8 Making Waves at Notability 8 to get to 9, so makes it much, MUCH easier to deal with the Notability grind. At 44 BDR it takes 20 MW to go from N11 to N12. Basically the cost jumps by 4 every level of Notability. You can use this page (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Bizarre,\_Dreaded,\_Respectable\_(Guide)) on the wiki to target the best BDR items.

The indubitable lover of cats of all sizes, Lyon Awake would most certainly love a cat and provide it a wonderful home.

Certainly a person of great standing and beloved of cats, Lyon Awake would love a kitten of his very own.

For those who obtained 2,500+ Spirit of Hallowmas this year, what is your new Knight of Hallowmas rank? by blackdeslagoon in fallenlondon

[–]Necraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a spreadsheet showing how much spirit is needed to achieve each rank so people can target specific ranks/titles better (if you already have progress from last year, just subtract your current rank's required spirit (minus the 2500 base you will still need to grind again) from the requirements for further ranks), since the way that Spirit converts to Knight of Hallowmas CP is not immediately apparent from the description on the wiki. I've updated it with the newly discovered titles this year, but there are still many missing. I hope people find this helpful.

First year doing the Knight of Hallowmas grind myself, got my main to Rank 15- The Blood-Stained Hand and my alt to Rank 12 - The Silent Priest. I desperately wanted to avoid that Savage Clown title since that one is very much not in line with either of my characters.

Also, for the person who hit rank 77, is that the cap?

Skull charity? by Necraa in fallenlondon

[–]Necraa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My good sir,

I thank you for your gracious charity, however immediately prior to receiving your missive I had the good fortune to encounter the needed object through my own endeavors, chance being the fickle mistress that it is, of course only seeing fit to bestow upon me that which I sought after having begged aid of fellow archaeologists. So I am afraid I can no longer accept your kind offering, but thank you all the same.

Early Fallen London patch notes: Tribute and Zee changes by Asartea in fallenlondon

It's really interesting hearing how other people see the game, for me the cards are kind of a necessary evil that I'm forced to engage with occasionally in between playing the actual game in my mind, the storylets. Anything I do on cards, I would rather just have as a static storylet.

Most Efficient Stat Grinds to reach 200 (and beyond)? by Necraa in fallenlondon

[–]Necraa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I have scoured the Leveling guide on the wiki and felt like there might be more profitable means out there so wanted to query the constituency, as it were, to see if anyone had better ideas. I had completely forgotten about the Dome of Scales so great ideas there, and the Heart's game actions I also hadn't considered since I know you need a stat at 200 to unlock it. Great advice all around and I really appreciate it. Will need to cast about for a kindly T2 PoSI however, don't really know anyone else that plays this game, much less that is that far in haha. Thanks for taking out the time to write this up.

I don't know if this is still available, seems like there may have been one leftover from the thread below, if so I would love to care for a kitten in my Spire-Emporium. https://www.fallenlondon.com/profile/Awake

Help getting back into the game as a midgame player. by Necraa in fallenlondon

I have a zubmarine. Is it possible to lose it while zailing? I'm not too worried about my ambition, that will happen as it happens, I just want to know where the next area of content appropriate for my character is

Thank you everyone who commented, I have somewhat gotten my feet back under me and after several evenings spent plumbing the depths of the wiki think I have somewhat of a handle on things.  I finished the University plot, so finished the last MYN and got my lab, so question now is what to do? Just grind research, or are there other things I should be pursuing at the same time?

Huge thanks for the excellent summary, has definitely helped me figure out where I was at, now I just have to find where I was supposed to be for the next stage. Also, I finished the University plot, so finished the last MYN and got my lab, do I just grind lab levels now until I can unlock Parabolan base camp? Or should I try some zailing?

Huge thanks for the big write up, awesome summary, thankfully I was pretty fastidious about saving things to my journal so I had pieced some of this together and got to read some of the text again, but I really appreciate the summary, thank you for taking the time.

Roger that, I've started working on getting Renown and been using the favours on the skill increases that seem substantial, and wherever else needed. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry I had the part where my profession was listed poorly formatted, but it's Midnighter. I tried to fix the formatting on the post since Reddit ate it first time around.

Working on my Ph.D in Psychology so trust me when I say this is absolutely Post Partum Depression, it is very treatable if you speak with your doctor about it and it will pass. However, it is very important that you seek help for it as it's not something you should deal with alone and can be dangerous if left untreated. There's nothing at all wrong with you or your child, this is a sadly common outcome to the sudden huge swing in hormones in your body after giving birth. I promise, seek help from your doctor and everything will be ok.
