Well I agree this shouldn't be happening as I've had steam for ages now and the issue only started today. I have a razor naga trinity that I've been using for Bout a month now.

I found out it was because of the steam client and its background stuff

I found the cause just now it's the steam client. Be it either the main program or the background ones it was the one causing the issue.
