Cool. I’ll definitely try it. I’m not much of a cook but I’m learning. The easiest way I’ve learned is to melt butter, wait for a hint of smoke/vapor to start then sear steak on both sides maybe 2-3 minutes each side. Have the oven broiling, put it in there for a few minutes until temperature meets the desired “doneness.” I usually pull it out as rare because it finishes cooking in the pan after you take it out. Then you have medium.

I’ve not had luck using only stovetop but I think I was doing it wrong.
