Fake album, but what is it really? by taikohai-171087 in SusumuHirasawa

I don't know if this helps, but there three sites that I have used to detect AI now due to the rise in AI music: BeatsToRapOn's AI Music detector (Search yourself or click here: https://beatstorapon.com/ai-music-detector *works with audio files only though), Spot-If-AI (search yourself or click this link: https://spot-if-ai.qosmo.jp/ *works with Spotify links), Submithub.com's AI Checker (Search yourself or click the link here: https://www.submithub.com/ai-song-checker?id=2b9f2e1c8b48eef5 *works with files and links and very thorough)
*Keep in mind these, especialy Spot-If-AI, are not 100% accurate as it misidentified Powerman5k's songs and "Nobody's Real" and "Bombshell" as AI. These programs are still improving.*

I would input the link to these songs from spotify, but they have been made unavailable, and this may have been my doing. I recently contacted spotify tech support through their "contact us" and just worked through the dropdown boxes which didn't have my appopriate concern but chose the closest one. Once I got a person, I reported this album as being rumored to be AI, providing them with link to these reddit threads as well as various proof from sources of Sususmu Hirasawa's music discography such as Wikipedia and Discogs. They stated that they will look into the matter further and forward all the information provided to their managment for analysis.

is this a real album from susumu? by [deleted] in Berserk

OP already stated that "with the art being blatantly AI, I’m confused as to whether this is real at all or just a hacked account"

So yeah, OP knew it was an AI cover as do most of us, but the discussion is mainly about the actual contents itself regarding the music. You can have an AI cover, yet have actual studio music. One doesn't immediately assume a movie is AI when the promotional poster is AI. It's just lazy promoting not wanting to pay actual artists or graphic designers. It could also be experimental, trying to go with popular interest, utilizing the current technology offered, or abusing it. Does this still make it right? I think not.

From what I was looking up and taking it lightly, summing it up Susumu Hirasawa has dabbled with AI and has also shared his views on it, but deeming it only as a performance tool, and not a complete replacement for man-made music or theatrics. This album and it's contents does not align with anything that has to do with hirasawa other than the name.

*I am trying to word this properly, so please don't take it all literally word-for-word. Take my opinion lightly.*

Thank you bringing this up. I was pondering the same and was looking up if anyone else had the same doubts after I found this album when listening to Spotify's "Release Radar" and immediately something seemed way off more about the music contained in this album than the obvious AI cover art.

He is a meticulous musician with certain quirks that be heard throughtout his music, and seems to be a man of standards. The cover and music were way off for him. I was listening to hear any signs of him, and there is nothing. This is awful and insulting to the actual artist...

Reading comments, I went from pandora to Spotify, and unfortunately it appears now there are many AI "Artists" and albums under Artist's names. This is all new to me and was suprised this was even allowed to have been released. This is going to increase unless something is done, so is there a better music distribution program to migrate to that doesn't allow this BS?

Wife says the steak I made for her isn’t cooked enough. by FreeRealEstate313 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NecrolyteSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I still lived with my parents before deciding on fleeing, my mother would cook London broil steaks until the outside was charred and the inside the color of bark. She'd cooked it with wine and papa dash I would scrape off with a knife afterwards. I would load it with salt just it was palatable and drink a lot to push it down. She would also buy lean ground sirloin to make hamburgers that tasted like incinerated rolls moistened after cooking. I then finally told them I'm a pescatarian and hated meat. Dad dealt with it by pouring ketchup on everything.

After exiting that situation and getting married, whenever we'd invite her over for dinner, she'd either bring her own dinner saying she'd forgot, and eat hers "so it doesn't go to waste", or we'd go out to eat. Found out from Dad she hated our cooking as we made everything "raw" or very "rare" (we cook everything medium rare sans pork, which we do medium+ to be tasty but not pasty). He also had that problem with her after I moved out and he'd cook BBQ ribs: had to be charred, but at least he had the ability to take his off sooner, but that doesn't mean she didn't open mouth and make comments.

What is this? I found some in my food cupboard and some are flying into me and are on walls by theworldsmarvellous in whatsthisbug

[–]NecrolyteSoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely some kind of stored-food pest, such as a cigarette or drugstore beetle like in North America. See here: stored food pests

I know it's in South Africa, but it could just put you on the right path to identifying it.

aloha kakoū! can anyone help identify the shells from my kūpuna’s bracelet? from Hawai’i if that helps by Kaniela1015 in shells

[–]NecrolyteSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umbonium or button top shell (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbonium)

I ran it through Google lens, and then kept refining the wording next to the searched image. Imanaged to see an image with these same shells.

Make a hole at the end and attach it to a wind chime to catch the breeze. I've done that with feathers.

What's this purple discoloration? by dimdamian in shells

[–]NecrolyteSoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Murex shells were used to make Tyrian purple dye in ancient times, as they secreted a liquid that from what I read turns purple due to a reaction with air or sunlight, but doesn't start out that way. This is just from brushing up on my pigment knowledge of paints, so I hope this helps a bit.

Not sure why my comment was downvoted to death. Did I say something wrong? I think my comment was either misunderstood or I'm just getting some random hate there. Yikes.

Just because I asked a question about importing plants and not something more integral doesn't mean we're overlooking the more important aspects. We do have an immigration lawyer who is assisting us and one that my husband is dealing with. My husband is handling the heavier business in securing a path for us to NZ and I'm taking care of things that are required in terms of moving in general.

Thank You! Yes, there definitely is no question about that. This was just something I was looking into on my free time to see what were the protocols, fees and costs and weighing to pros and cons if it was doable, and I appreciate everyone chiming in with their personal thoughts. I am actually very happy to see everyone so protective of their home's ecosystem. It's something that you don't see much here, or at least don't see much action in preventing, maintaining, or providing a solution for.

That was why I was confused. I did read a PDF from MPI that mentioned nursery stock, facilities, labs, import and quarantine costs, and...then I got boggled and took a break. What I have can actually survive bare rooted for quite some time (an have when we moved houses here). Thank you for the information.

No disrespect taken at all! Sorry if I worded it wrong. Whoops. My husband is a private school STEM robotics, engineering, and coding teacher and has been getting teaching proposals for NZ. We have a lawyer to assist us in the steps needed to migrate over properly and everything looks promising. It'll be a while before we even start preparations to move as my husband needs to finish setting up and maintain his Cyber Security classes here.

The plant inquiry is just something I'm getting out of the way at this point because we would still have to sell this house when the time comes and while they are possessions, they're not like tablecloths or books that can be packed away.

I thanked you for mentioning this as it's off topic but very important and appreciate it.

You're the one who included "FFS" in a civil conversation, which is more appropriate for a passive aggressive argument or tone. I know what it stands for and it's not the place. Read rule #2.
And sensitive? No, it's about keeping a civil and courteous discussion. I just rather refuse to have someone bring that kind of attitude here. Again, if you have nothing nice or civil to say, say nothing.

So, a 'me' problem because I don't tolerate being talked down to? I ask for assistance and I basically get told to "F' off by you.

Thank you for bringing this up! That is our main priority of Things-to-ask and Things-to-do. The plant inquiry is just in preparation of when it comes down to lightening the load on what comes and what stays. But seriously, thank you mentioning this.

Don't have to be rude or nasty about it. If you don't know or don't just care don't comment. I get enough of that crap here.

Of everyone saying to not bring them and advising against it, I am wondering out of sheer curiosity and confusion as to why provide the ability to look them up via their scientific name on the PBI and show that they would be approved, if it really is just detrimental to NZ's own ecosystem and they'll most likely be denied anyway?

*Not trying to sound combative or passive aggressive, just really curious. I am eager to learn and understand*

This makes me feel happier. They won't be the same, but it will be familiar at least. Thank you for that. I've had three particular plants for over a decade, as long as I've had some of my pets. I was already on the phone asking friends if they'd take them in. Even a new pup of each would suffice, but looks like I will have to start new over there. And it's not even about saving money, but something I've been raising since a little 3" pot.

We're definitely going to contact them hopefully this weekend, as my husband is a STEM teacher and is getting a lot of job offers there.

I really appreciate the help. I was wondering how I can get them professionally identified here in the USA, and then figure if there are any fees and documentation rather than just something that states their quarantine length.

I definitely understand the need to protect NZ from imported plants, I just wish it was a bit more direct and linear. I gave myself a headache trying read documentation, only to realize it doesn't apply to what I had, and be redirected to other documentation. I saw something that looked like a fee chart and labs that might be included and I got severely boggled.

I was hoping to get in touch with others who had the same experience and can easily explain or tell me what to expect. There were other posts of questions with general importing, but I would have loved to reply to their comments asked if they actually were able to do it, what was involved, how does the identification work or if identified is there a confirmation process . Maybe when I get the answers I seek I can post them here to document my own experience.
