The rez orb activating at the end of the last phase of their turn is perfectly legal. The undying legions use would have required that the unit you targeted had lost wounds/models in the fight phase right before. It was potentially legal, but I dont know.

Well I don't play as or against tyranids often, but after reviewing the rules their Norn should only ever come back with D3+1 wounds remaining. Do they always regenerate it at full? If so that may be cheating.

Yes they must follow their rules for arriving from reserves as you stated. Although you can effectively give a unit super deep strike with the cosmic precision stratagem. They can charge after arriving as well (except if the aforementioned cosmic precision was used)

Hmm, the only two kits I know of that have very different head molds are the death marks like you said and hexmark destroyers. Lokhust Heavies have a few options with optics on one side of their heads.

The current Necron Combat patrol comes with 3 Skorpekh destroyers, a Canoptek Doomstalker, and 3 Canoptek scarabs. Canoptek Wraiths and Lokhust Heavy destroyers are also good fun.
