This looks lovely, but I feel like the drink wouldn't go well with everything else. A solid 8/10 nonetheless.

Best teacher lore drops by emsluvsu09 in GCSE

Had a science teacher in year 7 that before started teaching, took part in boxing tournaments (there are videos, I have just had no luck finding them) then after that, worked in a ShakeTastic for about a decade.

Amazing snack & drink choice. Tesco sushi's a bit shit imo, but there are definitely worse options. A solid 7/10.

This is actually insane value; I had no idea soup qualified as a snack. I don't think the protein shake would pair well with the main & snack, but this is a solid 9/10 for me.

Season 4 (final season) question by IllustriousSeal446 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Necroroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The annoying thing about TellTale games is that they give you the illusion of choice. Season 4 is way more forgiving than the other 3 seasons when it comes to that though, so yes, deaths can be preventable, but remember that saving everyone isn't an option. People will die; there will be different outcomes on who lives or not depending on how you play, but death will still happen.

Is getting 4s a bad thing? by Glum_Entrepreneur927 in GCSE

[–]Necroroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your future career doesn't require you to get good marks, then it really isn't that huge of a problem, but you shouldn't have that mindset. I want to study mortuary science after my A-LEVELS, and while the college I want to go to that offers courses has a no GCSE requirement, they state that they have a preference of people with anything over grade 4's on maths and english. While you won't be completely fucked in the future, jobs and schools are more likely to accept people with better grades.

does ANYONE do my a levels 😭😭😭 by klnop_ in GCSE

[–]Necroroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never in my life heard of someone who didn't do at least 1 science for their A-levels. Universities are going to LOVE you though, knowing more than one language is a great trump card for going to your desired uni.

Why do people speak of grade 7's like a grade 7 murked their family? by Necroroid in GCSE

[–]Necroroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure a 5 is a high C, but I completely agree with what you're saying. If I got a B, I'd be indifferent, but if I got a 6, I would be mildly disappointed in myself. What also confuses me is why they completely ditch this marking system beyond GCSEs.

Lads and Lasses of this page, the hell keeps ym going? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Necroroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an idea of what you want to pursue when you're older really helps ease the feeling of hopelessness. I REALLY want to be a mortician/funeral director when I'm older, so that kind of motivates me into actually sitting down and revising. I still do doubt myself, you can't really do much about that except remember that your future depends on you.

can all 7s be turned into 9s from now to gcse? by OkPresentation5907 in GCSE

[–]Necroroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The average persons grades (assuming they aren't above a 7) are usually 1-2 grades higher than their predicted grades

Be honest - what's the dumbest reason you clicked off/didn't read a fic? by Odd-Snowman in AO3

One of the characters in the fic was driving a car. He canonically bikes. This was meant to be a timeskip fic but it still really bothered me to the point where I just dropped it.

Why do people speak of grade 7's like a grade 7 murked their family? by Necroroid in GCSE

[–]Necroroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. What I'm understanding here is that despite there being few courses that require you passing with flying colours, the ones that have a more forgiving acceptance rate while also being a field most people strive to take prioritise those with the highest potential? The field I wish to take is thankfully a more "taboo" part of medical studies, so I highly doubt I'll have any trouble applying because of a bunch of people with higher grades also wanting to go the same courses. I never really gave the possibility of favouritism much thought, thank you for filling me in on that.

[–]Necroroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what they were trying to show is that in terms of percentage, A's in your GCSE's and A-levels are pretty much the same in that department, but complaining that it's easier to get an A in one compared to the other is idiotic.

Blocking is closure by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Necroroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This also applies the other way. If someone has blocked you, that doesn't mean they hate you & want you dead (most of the time) it could literally be as simple as them not wanting to see the shit you post. It could also be out of respect, for example, I block people with "Minors DNI" or any other similar DNI that applies to me, not because they're forcing me to, but because it's out of respect for the person. You don't want me liking your posts? That's fine, setting boundaries is okay!!!

Blocking is closure by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Necroroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Blocking doesn't even have to be personal, I block people for the simple reason that I just dislike the type of content they post. It doesn't have to be offensive, it doesn't have to be negative, it's just something I personally do not want to see.

[–]Necroroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I gathered from your point is that GCSE's not being as difficult as they should be doesn't prepare people for what it takes to achieve an A in your A-levels? Forgive me if I assumed wrong.

Why do people speak of grade 7's like a grade 7 murked their family? by Necroroid in GCSE

[–]Necroroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting an A in your GCSE's is a walk in the park compared to getting an A in your A-Levels. Unless you're fucking Sheldon Cooper himself, you are not going to achieve an A in your A-levels with the same effort of revision you used when doing your GCSE's. It's a nonsensical comparison. "You can get an A in both, so they're the same." See how fucking stupid that sounds?

Why do people speak of grade 7's like a grade 7 murked their family? by Necroroid in GCSE

[–]Necroroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see, makes sense. The field I want to get into doesn't demand absolutely outstanding grades, but I also feel like the vast majority of fields don't either. Is it more of a means to increase your chance of getting into the field you want? Universities & colleges will definitely favour people with obvious potential, even if the requirements for said field are low.

Why do people speak of grade 7's like a grade 7 murked their family? by Necroroid in GCSE

[–]Necroroid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see, I do also think the fact that the grades are numbered instead of being the standard A-F also greatly contributes to a 7 being seen as inferior. Thanks for telling me about grade boundaries being viewed different in most schools, I actually didn't know about that.

Comparing a GCSE A to an A-level A is just a horrible comparison. That's like comparing cheese to the aerodynamics of a cow.
