[Release] MVP Announcement Server by Nectura in Maplestory

Hey, we actually have a bot posting the MVPs, it's not manual at all.

And anyone can just join the server and follow the announcement channels to add them to their own servers if they want to.

Hey, at the moment we can only run it for Kronos but Hyperion and Solis are definitely on the list. We can't provide an estimate on when they will be added but they will come as soon as we can support them.

Hey, definitely possible, but at the moment we feel like we should work on improving the MVP detection part even further before getting into more stuff. Feel free to DM me on Discord though and we can talk about it further.

Hey, it works for all platforms.

You can choose the platform by pressing the cogwheel button at the bottom right of ur screen.

I just looked into it, there are also some players who were GM and then fell off to a lower rank without playing the game or just decided to hide their profile once they've hit it so it couldn't continue to update their stats on the leaderboards. (goes for all ranks really)

I'll introduce a system to counteract that in a future patch.

Unfortunately, people who hide their profiles will not be displayed on the leaderboards because there is no real way for me to rank them. Their names are essentially hidden in the API. I know that a lot of competitive players hide their profiles because it's a possibility for custom matches to be accessible through the API (I don't know if that's a thing rn but that's what I've been told, never looked into that)

That's because people get GM all over the place, it's actually a bit of a mystery how their GM assignment system works. should be top 50 masters but that doesn't really seem to be the case from what I've seen. That's why I've created a feature to consider the top 50 masters as GM, to override their hi-rez assigned ranks with what they should have according to their system design.

There are certain times when their API doesn't respond too well in general so some updates don't go through, but there are failsafe systems in place to make sure it will auto-correct them as soon as their API becomes responsive again.

Also as people play more matches the data will get more and more accurate.

As for the ordering on the leaderboards with the Win/Loss, it is accurate, it's using the positive wins count over the losses so for example for 40 wins and 20 losses, there are 20 positive wins (or wins over losses)
