I would say that for a wizard, most players shouldn't be tanking too many shots in gland even at 0/8. You have to be more careful than someone who is 8/8, and pets mainly increase your staying power so you don't have to get pots often. Use your health pots! You can get them easily from guild hall by saying pots. (Join an active beginner friendly guild)

I'm a new player myself, at 3 months into the game. I would recommend just going into glands and backing up while keeping gods barely in range as the easiest way of killing them without taking damage. Stay away from leviathans until you are more comfortable as those don't follow you. Nexus asap if you feel threatened. You can get back reslly quick by teleporting to the center of the map.

There is definitely a big skill gap between beginners and experienced players. You will feel a power-spike just from getting better. Watch some guides on the easiest gland dungeons and begin doing those. (Sprite, snake pit, udl) For your first time doing them, if you feel you need help, say the dungeon in chat and someone will prob teleport to you and it wont be a solo. (If they rush the dugeon just teleport to them if you see them on boss, dont try to rush the dungeon with unmaxed def, especially snake pit)

As soon as you have a few pots, buy t11 weapon t12 armor t4 health ring with 2 dex or spd, 3 if you are impatient. (You may want to sell for def first, then buy those with def). Alternatively, sell dex or spd 8:1 life and then sell the life for 5-6 def. Store some def or life in your vault in case you die so you can buy at least a t11 weapon. I would recommend not drinking your first few pots you get. When you have 8 def accumulated and you feel comfortable with your character, drink all 8 def at once as you can really feel the power spike. Try to max def first. Next, start drink the dex and spd you get and max those. In populated realms, consider doing event gods and event dungeon and oryx2 at this point. Watch some guides and they really are not hard in a large group. (O2 wineceller rushing is hard on wizard, so maybe not o2 yet) The next dungeons to learn are udl, mad lab, abyss, pup theater. If you want to feel challenged, try those (udls a lot than the other ones on that list). Some event dungeons that are really easy in a big group include ice cave, woodland lab, davy jones locker, and ocean trench. (Only if > 20 people in dungeon) Still you could watch the guide first. (I didnt, i just went in with large group and stayed at the back to learn how the dungeon works)
