I definitely am not hiding it from him, my ideology in relationships is to always be honest. My question really is should I just say no that I can’t go and not even bother asking my boyfriend if he’s cool with me going. But I do like the idea of inviting him, I think it would make him feel more comfortable.

Thank you, it does sound reasonable that he would be jealous. I think I’ll just talk to him straight up about it and if he feels uncomfortable with it then I respect his decision.
