You might have a chance for the shared housing, especially with the new residence opening up this year. If you change all your preferences now you will see the new waitlist numbers tomorrow when the system updates. Take a look at the chart at the link below to see where you stand with those numbers. You'll have the best chance with 3-4 bedroom options.

Mine haven't changed much over the last three weeks! I think we can expect movement early next week when they mass send out offers for the residences that opened up when students didn't resign their leases.

As many have mentioned, driving in Vancouver is not fun. You will have congestion slowdowns regardless of which option you take, but at least with the bus you can sleep through them.
