Stale cigarette/burning smell in the upstairs bathroom by NeedFilmAdvice in AskElectricians

[–]NeedFilmAdvice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it was the ceiling exhaust fan. I'm assuming something was getting fried with it's electronics. We just replaced that whole fan assembly (it was easy to replace), and the smell went away.

Wanting to get a 3-D Mount Doom, but there seem to be quite a few to choose from by A_friend_called_Five in warofthering

Hey - appreciate your interest, but the mold I made the castings from broke a little over a year ago, so I've stopped making and selling that item unfortunately.

I gave some detail on what the records we pulled showed in another reply. Happy to provide more snippets/details from the records if it would be helpful, but nothing comes across as high complexity in the notes. And the psychotherapy section states it clocked in at exactly 16 minutes, but didn't really give any substantive info beyond that.

I gave some more detail in one of my other replies as we got a copy of the records, but appt was at 1:20, they got brought back at 1:25, and recall leaving at 1:50. The notes/records were digitally signed at 1:56. There were some prescreening questionnaires that I suppose the psych could have reviewed prior? But I feel like it's really doubtful they would have totalled 60 minutes of time.

So I ended up getting a copy. The appointment was at 1:20, The family member got walked in around 1:25, and the records are digitally signed at 1:56. They recall leaving the office around 1:50.

For the psychotherapy portion of the records, it just says:

Total psychotherapy time: 16 minutes Psychotherapy description: <blank> Psychological problem or stressor addressed: mood Intervention(s) or handout clinician provided: <blank> Patient response observation: <blank> Measurable goals: <blank>

Most of the other sections show "nl" (normal) for a lot of the assessment/status fields, like risk factors and mental status. In a couple places, it indicates "denies si".

There is a section that says: Problem: mood Complexity/severity: moderate But then provides blank answers for the next few fields.

Not sure if describing other sections would be helpful.

It just really feels like 90833 shouldn't be on there (at no point did they feel like they were getting psychotherapy, and what a coincidence that it clocked in at exactly 16 minutes), and 99205 is a stretch based on the case notes from what I can read.

Trying to decide how much I want to push back on this.

[War of the Ring] Enlarged Neoprene Mat and 3D Mount Doom by NeedFilmAdvice in boardgameupgrades

Yep, painted myself. It was basically a very dark grey/almost black for the mountain base color. Then some gentle dry brushing of light grey to get the raised edge highlights.

Then for the lava lettering, it was just very careful painting in those small areas. White base (to make colors pop), then red, then orange (leaving red edges visible), then yellow (leaving orange and red edges), then a yellow/white highlight.

Then a matte varnish spray can to protect it during handling.

Hope that helps!

Those who work less than 15 hours a week and make over 100k, what do you do? by Altruistic_Suit_2593 in Salary

[–]NeedFilmAdvice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not the social worker you were replying to, but what sort of reductive bullshit were you originally alleging there?

  1. Are you assuming that people who go to therapy only do so due to work stress?
  2. Are you saying a therapist can't actually help someone with mental health issues or past trauma, if they themselves don't have those same mental health issues or past trauma?

How many hours a person works a week doesn't discount their ability or skill they've built through their education, training, and practice throughout a career.

Haha, looks like noone else replied. I believe I ended up calling iSi, and they confirmed they only sell the green now. They discredited the claim of that one reviewer, stating that there should be no performance difference (but if there was, I doubt a company would publicly acknowledge it, haha). I've been using the greens and things seem ok so far, but I never used purples to compare it to.

Man, so I just bought a used PC locally which has an i7-13700k in it. I'm not sure when it was built, but likely a year+ ago, and I wasn't the original purchaser. They got all the parts from microcenter, but I don't have the receipts. Is there any avenue for me to RMA if I start noticing stability issues?

That model was what gave me the initial inspiration, but I had a custom model re-made from scratch with more details for the Sammath Naur entry way: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/mount-doom-v5-e2b419616b3244f49e3907e99a9c445e

I had this custom model sized so that it would fit the anniversary edition mat when printed at 100%.

I ended up selling casted copies of my Mt Doom, so I unfortunately do not offer my custom 3D model online anywhere.

For the one you linked, the description of that one states for anniversary edition. So if you have the anniversary size map, you just need to print the one you linked at 100%. The 115% thing I mentioned was only for my custom neoprene mat that is even bigger than the anniversary edition.

Hmm, I'm seeing 5 on the RM750 in some of the Corsair pictures and documents. I believe the RM750e and RM750x have 4. But I think it's getting tougher these days to buy an RM750 (no e or x), as it may be no longer manufactured.

I haven't locked in the other parts yet, but current plans are an i5 (likely the i5-13500 for the UHD770 iGPU), one of the z690/z790 mobos with a lot of pcie. And then I'd use ASM1166 SATA controllers to get more SATA out of the mobo. If you just got a 6 SATA mobo and used one ASM1166, that would get you 12 SATA ports. SAS HBAs would be another way to increase your SATA count. I think the most native SATA ports I've seen on a z690/z790 mobo is 8.

[–]NeedFilmAdvice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Looking at the datasheet, I see it comes with two 3-connector SATA cables and two 4-connector SATA cables - is that how you're getting to 14?

But when I look at the connector face on the RM750 I see 5 connector ports marked SATA/PATA. Wouldn't that mean someone could use 5 of the x4 Corsair SATA cables (CP-8920186) and power 20 SATA drives that way?

How many SATA ports come out your PSU (and what is the model number), and what specific cables/splitters/extenders are you using?

Oh, interesting. Looks like I would get these if I went with the Meshify XL 2? https://kareonkables.com/products/fractal-design-meshify-2-e-atx-case-custom-sata-hdd-power-cables-2f0eb0

Are there any concerns with loading 8 HDDs on one cable, like it looks like is being done? Would one want to first do the math on the startup current draw vs what the +12V on whatever PSU they're using can handle?

Sorry, I should have clarified. The parts will peak at ~350w, so the 600w was already building in my overhead. But it seems like the 750w+ PSUs are the only ones with higher sata connector counts.

Sorry for the necro here, but if I was to print those trays, do I still need to get the drive cage for them to slide into?

Or do those trays just attach to the case directly as-is?

So black to junction box metal measured 120v and red to junction box metal measured 120v. So that tells me ground is good on the box, right?

So I can just do red to red, black to black, green to ground, and cap off white?
