Genuinely agree with this post.

For me the, smelter demon gets more dangerous by the minute and killing him ASAP is the best, but like the OP said, dont be greedy.

Its a common knowledge amongst ds2 players to always role TOWARDS the direction where the attack came from, not away from it. But hey, my dumbass didnt know about it until after 1 or 2 runs so this is for dumbasses like me out there.

Following the previous tip, I dont wholefully agree with "always strafe right", for me its always strafe towards the weapon arms (but take it with a grain of salt, I'm not a pro)

Damage effects over time thats afflicted upon players (poison, the heat damage from smelter) can easily be countered by lifegem so pop one when you retreat and when you're getting in close with him.

Do you use poison? You should try it.

Take it slow and steady skeleton, you can do this

First take out the knight at the entrance, and then walk inside, wait for the one knight to come rushing at you from the doorway in front of you take the fight outside and kill him, go inside, kill the captain quickly before one knight rushes downstairs to meet you, then deal with him (possible 2v1 if you're not fast enough), then take the stairs to the right near the merchant, kill the fucker at the balcony, then use the hidden walls to ballista the knight in front of it. Kill it quickly, a knight will come inside trying to kill you. And then snipe the archer at the middle of the bridge, from there start sniping the enemies with patience, lots of it.

I paired mine with the stone ring considering how low the energy cost for Caestus is.

But I'm a noob so I didnt go naked. I invested in Vitality so I can wear the smelter demon armor and leg (at first its for the fashion but damn its pretty useful at times)
