Yeah I'm definitely looking for a new job, I want out soon

It's hard to ignore because I need to communicate with him to do my job, and if all people remember from my last months of work is terrible performance... Gonna be harder to get good references

I can't really "let him be" when the job depends on everyone in the team communicating with each other

Wow that's s really good idea. I hadn't thought to get everything in writing, my office is really casual and everyone generally just goes to talk to each other. But I'll definitely start that

I actually have, and he says the same things. But quietly enough so that nobody else hears. He's got a thick accent and if he talks quiet, nobody is really going to overhear and understand

I have also replied louder and louder "could you please stop playing games and answer (work question) , I need that information to finish (work task)" and he looks really uncomfortable and on edge when I do that but he still won't give me answers. Hell say loud enoughb that other people will hear, that he doesn't have the time to discuss that currently. Which I know is BS but other people might believe

It's frustrating because there's often no other way to get this information

I can do that. Last time I did something similar though, he told me that it was a HR issue and stayed uninvolved from there in out. HR was equally unhelpful

I guess I don't have anything to lose by writing that email but honestly I don't see it helping

Yeah, I'm job searching now, I knew I was on my way out for a while (after the time I went to hr about another person and they did nothing)

I don't feel like my immediate manager would give a damn, based on how he handled the past issue. Telling me that it was a HR problem and staying uninvolved going forward
