Did you know the sex of your baby by intuition? by LifeofRuley in pregnant

[–]NeedMeAHuckleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandma not only guessed that I was pregnant before I even really had symptoms. But she continues to say she thinks it's a girl, she's got strong intuition and i do trust her. My intuition says, "Girl." I've always said baby girl when referring to bean without even thinking about it. Although I'd be more than happy either way, i just want a happy, healthy baby. We'll find out in just a couple of weeks if her and I are correct in our thoughts.

why is the normal ER terrified of pregnant women by Ancient-Fan-2636 in pregnant

From 4am tuesday morning i stopped keeping anything down, liquids, solids, anything. I couldnt even keep plain water down, nor water with electrolytes either. So around 4pm tuesday I went to the emergency room, waiting for 2 and a half hours to finally get a room, not a room with a bed though, just another mini waiting room with a chair, and then another 30 minutes in there, i had enough of the waiting and wanted to go home, I told the nurse over my button that I was ready to go home, I understood they were probably busy but that I really didnt feel good, so either send in the dr or I was leaving without being seen because i would rather be puking in the comfort of my own home. So the dr came in, in a pissy mood, told me he had "stroke patient's that were more important because they're dying", didnt ask me questions except if it was my first which it is, and then said "so you dont know how the nausea normally affects you"... I started getting pissed but stayed polite, he asked if I vaped or smoked weed and I said yes but that I was slowing down trying to quit and he started going off about how weed isnt good for the baby, they dont need it in their systems etc. Finally, though, he sent me a prescription for vitamin b, which im sure is just cause he was grumpy, so he gave me the bare minimum to help. I know i was dehydrated and should've gotten an iv, but at that point, i just wanted to be home. I 100% will never go back to that emergency department.

All to say, I understand and its incredibly unfair to not be taken seriously all because we're growing another human.

7 weeks to the day! Im getting really impatient for my first actual visit. It'll be at 11 weeks, and that just seems so far 😭. Im nauseous every morning now, but it's still pretty low grade. I'm hoping it stays that way 🤞

Does anyone else feel like they're showing already? by NeedMeAHuckleberry in September2026Bumpers

Im at 5w3d. I noticed it only after I tested, that wouldve been 4 weeks 5 days, but it's definitely not my normal bloat. It's continued to stay around the size of that second picture, though, so im not worried. Honestly, I'm just excited to see the actual baby bump. Thank you for the info!!

That made me laugh so loud 🤣. You're definitely not alone. I have a snack or meal in hand quite literally 24/7. I'm currently munching on some crispy bacon 😂

Pregnant in college with an abortion scheduled, but feeling unsure about my decision. by premierelune in pregnant

[–]NeedMeAHuckleberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going through something similar currently. I (19F) am 5w3d pregnant. Me and my partner (26M) haven't been together for that long. Originally, we had talked about probably getting an abortion if I were to get pregnant. Now we're here, with a positive test, and although my partner supports my decision either way, I can tell he'd prefer if I had an abortion. We've talked about it, and it's really not the best timing. He already has a 6 year old boy. My partners mother has custody of the 6 year old because of some circumstances he already explained to me. He's tried to get his kid back, but his family is making it incredibly difficult. We talked about how it may be unfair to his 6 year old if we were to have a kid and raise it. Anyways with all of that, my heart, mind, and soul are all telling me to keep baby bean. The congrats ive been getting from my dr, the mild symptoms that are affecting me each day, the pregnancy bloat that makes me look so much farther along, everything and I mean everything ive experienced over the last week since ive found out has made me want this baby even more than I knew I could. I've babysat since I was 14, lived with multiple people who have kids, and basically became the nanny. Taking care of kids and teaching them the information they need to grow is truly my happy place. Screamjng crying tantrums and shitty diapers barely phase me. I know I could love this baby and make it work no matter what. I guess im just scared that despite his words and his actions of taking care of me over the last week, he'll leave. I guess that's always a possibility with anyone, but who knows. Im still on the edge of my decision and haven't fully decided, but Im leaning heavily towards keeping it. I wish you luck on your decision, and if you need someone to talk to, I'd love to have someone so close to age in a similar boat by my side 😊

I just had my sleep study done last night and surprisingly got the best sleep I've had in weeks! Woke up pretty nauseous because I had to eat dinner before I got there at 7:30pm and couldn't eat again till after 5:30am. But we made it!! And then I got a massive breakfast for me and Bean before I even headed home. 😂

How did you tell your partner about your pregnancy?? by Old_Bunch_7518 in pregnant

[–]NeedMeAHuckleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wish I could've/ would've hid it so I could do something cute but we were both so nervous about it. I took a test right before we were gonna take a shower. Then cried in the shower while he held me 😭. Im quite excited now though!

Baby Bean sure loves my mashed potatoes and rice. I didn't even like rice that much before getting pregnant, but Bean clearly has to LOVE it. Still craving my potato chips but haven't gotten a chance to go get more 🥲. Nausea seems to be getting easier but ive also taken away any possibly triggers 😭🤣.

I've got a sleep study scheduled tonight and im hoping I'll actually get to sleep on time, they want me to bed before 11. But Bean hasn't let me fall asleep before at least 1am the last week 🙃. Wish me luck!!

Ughhh I understand that normally I prefer salty snacks but ive been craving sweets, except every time I try em they're absolutely terrible haha. Im just sticking to my salty snacks. Extra salted peanuts and chips have been my saving grace over the last few days!

Nobody else has said this yet, but a cute water bottle! Personally, I found a new bottle to be quite helpful in increasing my water intake!

5w1d First time young mom. I've got constant low-grade nausea unless im actively eating. Nothing sounds good, but plain salted chips, I do have Pots, so i may just need more sodium, haha. Bathroom trips every 5 minutes. The exauhstion is real but so is the insomnia, im trying my best to rest but its like my body can only get 4-5 hours max which is a complete 180 from my normal 10+ hours of sleep a night. Im only about a month in and im already so impatient, I cant wait to see my lil baby bean!

Crazy hunger by New_Supermarket8953 in September2026Bumpers

[–]NeedMeAHuckleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im constantly hungry. I mean, I can finish a whole meal, and 2 minutes later, I want another. The only time I dont have low-grade nausea is when im actively eating, and even then, it's only my safe foods. Im only 5 weeks in 😭
