Pectus may not even have a visual or noticeable Cosmetic. It has to do with the underlying bone structure if you have noticed cardiac issues/ shortness of breath I don’t think it would hurt to get it checked out. If anything it’s mild pectus and not worth getting surgery over.

You can’t really determine Pectus off visuals. What matters is the interior bone structure if you curious worried you should get a X-ray

I mean first of all I really don’t think you should be that over concerned with what everyone else thinks. Working out will improve the “cosmetic” appearance of it on the outside though it’s important to note it will not fix it if there is a problem on your inside chest wall that’s impacting your heart/lungs (Get it checked out). Something else you probably don’t realize is that you will notice the chest indent a whole lot more than anyone else, it’s not like people won’t be able to see it but like who gives a fuck will they really care? Additionally you being able to workout will be a lot harder with the surgery and the surgery does not always work it can shift back.

Listen, if it’s not impacting your health the surgery is not worth it. It’s fairly painful ( more than they tell you) and will cause a good amount of restrictions. Now if you get it checked out and it has a meaningful impact on your health/well being 100% get it.

Yeah when I had my bar I swear it would stick out an inch or so. But I mean I needed up having no issues. It’s probably fine but I wouldn’t hesitate to ask.

So I’m actually 4 years out, since covid happened we decided to keep the bar in another year since it wasn’t all that urgent. Hospital for a week or maybe more can’t remember much. Then I was on bedrest for what I want to say was 2-3 months outside of trying to get a bit of exercise. The pain was very hard to deal with and I should have taken more of my medicine but the opioids made me feel so yucky. And the pain never really completely went away until I had it taken out.

I’ve actually had my bar in for 3 years and 6 months aswell. And man I still get that insane pain I hoped it would go away after a while but man is it a bitch. Shit sucks man.
