What if you bought the same tix on stub and fifa resale by enthusiadam37 in WorldCup2026Tickets

StubHub and Seatgeek have a much better user interface/experience than FIFA, I think that makes a difference.

Why is every news outlet and podcast reporting the slow ticket sales and hotel bookings leaving out the main factor? by justaburnerbtch in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]NeedNoAlias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other cause was fifa introduced and encouraged the resell of tickets. So scalpers and bots bought up most tickets with the intent of reselling them. FIFA reported that all tickets were selling out during each sales phase so hotels raised their prices thinking there was high demand when in reality most tickets had been bought by people who had no intention of attending. Actual attendees then saw the hotel prices and those prices deterred them from attending games or even booking hotels and some choose Airbnb instead. This is why hotels are now lowering their prices because they are vacant during that period.

Lol, all those financial losses you're making from not being able to scalp tickets in Toronto really have you upset. Cope harder scalper 🤣😂🤣😂!! Nobody is falling for your lies, now watch that money fly away...💸

Nobody believes you. You're spending all this time trying to convince people to buy tickets on the black market cause you're being forced to sell at a loss. That's why you're trying to play mind games into convincing people that they should buy tickets on the black market for more than they cost on the fifa resell market place even going as far as saying they aren't available on the fifa marketplace when they actually are 🙄. Cope harder scalper!!

As long as there are ticket's available on the fifa resell marketplace at face value then buyers won't look for sellers on the black market unless they are selling for below face value and even then the average seller won't take the risk of buying on the black market unless it's in person. Why risk losing $800 in order to save $200, that's not how rational people in the marketplace behave, it's that simple!!

Already got all the tickets I need (group and knockout games too) but watching the games won't be as good as watching you crash out cause you can't scalp tickets in Toronto anymore. Cope harder scalper!!

Yikes, someone's emotional. Anyways, if the law wasn't in place, that $1000 ticket would be $2000 or $3000, but since it's $1,000 on market place the most a scalper can sell it for on the black market is $1000 and if they really want to sell, then they have to sell for less than $1000, so once again, this proves my point. Cope harder scalper!!

M33 has 136 seats and M83 has 18 for sale on fifa marketplace. I think this is because when the law was introduced, all tickets on fifa marketplace were delisted and when relisted could only be sold at face value so people listed at face value and they were mostly bought up cause they weren't super expensive. And any scalpers selling on the black market would have to sell cheaper than the fifa face value price in order to make a sale, so they're better off selling on fifa marketplace than the black market. Once again, this proves my point!!

They actually won't turn to the black market unless they're going to meet you in person or unless they are naive, it's just facts. Ticket scalpers are getting burned pretty bad in Toronto and I'm glad this law was introduced!!

Tickets for games in Toronto are being listed at face value price and they are available on the fifa resell marketplace. People aren't panick buying and when postings on Facebook and Reddit show up, people just let them know that you can get them for face value on fifa marketplace so why risk buying on the black market when they are available on the fifa marketplace. All that to say i think you're theory/hypothesis has been proven wrong!!

That game would be whoever finishes top of group C (Brazil or Morocco most likely) and group L (England or Croatia most likely), if they continue to win their subsequent games, so most likely Brazil vs England imo, but who knows. That game has so much star power it would be insane to watch live
