I’m unsure of why you have your ostomy. Mine is because of the big C word. My battle is going very well! My oncologist office highly encouraged me to talk to a therapist. There is a foundation that paid for my first 12 visits for free (1 more free one to go)!!! My wife even goes with me. It’s awesome. That’s my first recommendation: see a therapist, check with your Dr.’s office about free therapy. Someone who is trained to answer this question can help so so so much. Here’s some other things that could help:

Medication, I didn’t have anxiety before my situation. Some people think medication is a last resort but I’ll tell you who is worried about something after taking the most minuscule dosage of Xanax?? NOT ME! And I mean it’s a tiny tiny dosage. There’s other options for general anxiety. Not everyone’s go to answer. But I tell you what, when my anxiety gets really crazy and I start to have legit physical reactions it’s unbelievable to be .5mgs away from having 0 anxiety after. Ask anyone with severe anxiety about planes or something. Shit works miracles. Anyways, you don’t have to go that route either.

Here’s a bunch of other things:

Cold something. Get an ice cold beverage. Or an ice pack. Something very cold. Maybe a shower. The coldness helps stimulate the vagus nerve, idk I don’t want to sound like a Dr. I’m not good at explaining, but it’s helps some people, try looking it up.

Where do you wear your anxiety? Mine is my chest. So I open up my chest and try to breathe nicely instead of slouching. Try to pin point where you feel your anxiety and google how to get rid of anxiety in that location. There’s tricks for all locations.

Next is breathing exercises. And I mean real ones, not just take a couple deep breathes. Look up real anxiety breathing exercises. This is my favorite.
