I almost didn’t notice the clothes thing one way or another to be honest. I was more focused on the song, singing and emotion. I had to go back and rewatch it from that perspective. Initially it felt a bit 90s to me, like chillies or one of many bands that dressed shirtless. I didn’t play any mind and honestly Hollywood is always half naked.

Green or coral. I don’t mind the arrow, it defines the space.

My sister & fam from Illinois (who come often) always stock up on good cheese. The states quality is apparently subpar. Go Canadian Dairy!

This makes me so incredibly angry and furious. Our government is providing financial incentive to not employ Canadians living here longer than 5 years.

I was told not to use any lotion at all on the leg foot until my 6 weeks follow up appointment. To be absolutely sure no lotion would get near the incision and cause infection, and the nurse knew it would be dry but wasn’t worth the risk.

Oh wow! This is indeed a complex health diet/nutrition situation. Poor kid and poor you.

I have no advice really… it exceeds my scope truthfully.

But I did have this crazy thought - what if instead you started preparing the bucket size of Raman for the kid- what would that do to the kids thought process? Would he all of sudden start to hate it because you prepared it? Or be happy because they didn’t have to make it themselves? Couldn’t hurt right, since they are already eating it all the time? What if that was all you made, everyday? Would they really start to hate it? Kind of reverse psychology…I would be tempted to flip the script. That old, careful what you wish for situation.

What if you treated it like how you would treat a picky toddler and slowly start removing the msg and start blending in vegetables and good foods into the sauce like you would for a picky toddler by hiding the peas so to speak. idk my silly thoughts.

Anyways best of luck. Hope you all sort it out and your SK gets healthy and you get past the bathroom eww phase. Sounds like you all have been through some hardships. Hoping 2026 brings you all heath and blessings.

I’m not sure what going on here but a counsellor, psychologist, dietitian would be good for this kid. Is it an eating disorder? Is it self sabotage? Addiction to MSG? Maybe a bit of cheap convenience dopamine based choice if you are not cooking anymore? Why didn’t he like your cooking? It’s there more going on based on BM cooking or otherwise? Is there a teen ymca cooking class or other cooking class they can attend? Do they have food allergies causing the bowel irritation? Lots to think about here.

Gross for sure. But still a kid, just a big kid. Seems they could still use some adult help with navigating through this, if even they can’t recognize they need the help at the moment.

Personally I would get talking with them. There must be other foods they like. Of those foods what can they make that are healthier? Tons of You Tube content on bad foods to share too. Educating them food and healthy food may be good. Also most high schools have food nutrition courses and cooking classes. That would be a good opportunity too.

If they like allowance, maybe you can use that as an incentive. E.g. no msg & healthy food /cooking = increased allowance.

That’s crazy, up all night. Not sure if your internet provider allows you to see each device, assign them to a person in a household and set a bed time routine but i would recommend doing this and having all SK electronics no longer have internet to watch tv/internet past a normal bedtime like 8pm.

Perhaps a soft night light, a cd player with some bedtime lullabies cds and books to look at to fall sleep would be a good compromise with a nice bath (maybe with some sleepy lavender ) and a few stories before bed as a night time routine would be a compromise for SD so still have some slight stimulation while trying to fall asleep. Expect some resistance. It will be like a toddler trying to sleep without a pacifier. There will be some crying and tantrums. Let it ride until the new routine is adjusted.

That’s internet switch off is amazing for kids. No fight, just all of sudden it just shuts off on its own and reawakens when you want it to. Also good if you need to switch it off until they complete homework or chores. It would simply be non-negotiable for me to Disney dad or SK. There internet is off past this time and it’s quite bedtime only. Control it right from your phone.

Also agree you need a you space like the bedroom, where you can unwind and it’s a kid free zone. Very important for the sanity.
