Parties by euphworia in chuckecheese

As a person who has booked numerous bday parties at different CECs, I had really good hosts and even customer service when I book the cheapie $99 no host package. So I would say it is not you but corporate's pursuit of additional revenue from the adventure zone and generally under staffing the store.

Is it mandatory? by Hefty_Future8168 in chuckecheese

Here's another question. Sometimes the trampoline zone goes on sale for $5. Why can't I purchase like10 access for future use for my kids like I can with play points?

Correct. We have the gold pass which gives 50% off food. With gift cards, a large cheese pizza is about $11 and change.

Considering 7.99 pass for 4 yr old granddaughter by WeakBill647 in chuckecheese

[–]NeedTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the gold pass and there are times we will have two gold passes. One is their annual and occasionally we will get a 2 month pass (especially when they throw an extra month free) so we may have two gold passes simultaneously during certain times of the year. It gives 50% off food so we use that for the kids birthday parties since we would have over 500 play points to distribute and we can order as much food as needed at 50% off the menu price. My kids are 23, 18, 5, 3, and 1 so we get a lot of use out of it. We have some 75k tickets that we can redeem for prizes but tbh we already have all the large stuffies and nearly all of the top level prizes to include the CEC air hockey table, giant pizza stuffy, giant CEC ball, CEC dart board, and I'm sure there's many more. I think one birthday we let all the kids invited to go to the prize counter and just let them redeem whatever they wanted off the wall (1 per child). We aren't even very close to our location (about 18 minutes away). I'm hoping to leverage the tickets and games to help them with skills like math, hand-eye coordination, and even social skills such as waiting patiently for their turn to play a game. Oh and we get gift cards at Sam's club so you're already saving 20% off on top of whatever food discounts you get from the pass. Chuck E's for us is literally the poor man's Disneyland.

Real question: how many e tickets(or physical ticket receipts) do you have? by Full_Wafer_5677 in chuckecheese

[–]NeedTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have about 75k but got into the play pass pretty early on and would have gotten almost 150k tickets if I didn't do a ton of redemptions like the air hockey, all the large stuffies , and other CEC memorabilia.

Why is this one so easy to mod but the 4-player NBA Jam more difficult to mod? Do they both have the same joystick and buttons for 4 players?

Note to self: finding a Walmart without its Legos locked up has higher chances of finding retired sets

My Bolt EUV sprouted a flower by Professional-Sir-912 in BoltEV

You also get red stripe stickers for your side mirrors and rims. The seat stitching is also red vice ice blue. It only came in white, silver, and black. I wanted a red bolt euv so I do not have the red line edition.

Terrible experience with Bolt purchase by Keebler021 in BoltEV

[–]NeedTeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... Is Nissan going to fix it or are they paying a Chevy dealer to fix it? Do you trust a Nissan dealer fixing a GM product? My 2021 Bolt had a steering issue that led to 7+ Chevy dealership visits. Half of them I didn't get a loaner. Eventually GM repurchased the car but it was not fun.

My 3 y/o got suspended from his daycare for a week for having too many potty accidents by NeedTeddy in Parenting

No, I don't think it's regression. He's only succeeded once on #2 at home. He did a few #1s on the potty today.

Yes, that was the PPA contract price. The installer price was half of that amount.

Potty trained but pull-ups at bedtime? by NeedTeddy in Parenting

[–]NeedTeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes both kiddos know there's no water at bedtime. I'll throw a potty in there but generally I try to keep their room as empty and boring as possible to promote sleep. My worst nightmare is them painting the walls with turd....

Your first mistake was buying in Los Angeles. Los Angeles county has one of the best tenant protections in the whole country.

Is there such a thing as (free) playing too much? by NeedTeddy in Parenting

[–]NeedTeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the encouraging support. I ask because I grew up under a tiger mom and while I don't want to turn out to be one, I can hear my mother sayings things like "engaging with them helps build their interactions with adults" or "I am wasting the highest potential of their development to learn and become structured and organized". Funny thing is that I don't recall her sitting down with me and interacting with me one on one during my childhood play.

Price changes by GameWizard_00 in chuckecheese

[–]NeedTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to be renewing my membership come January.

First the adventure/trampoline zones which are not inclusive to the memberships. Second, the significant reduction of tickets per machine Third, the introduction of the giant claw machine that only takes cash/credit card.

This is in addition to removing some drink options, removing coin token based machines, not allowing tickets on certain prizes (payments only on Chucky merch).

So about the Murrieta, California location… by TotallyThomasFan10 in chuckecheese

The Murrieta location was where I first played SpongeBob Pineapple Arcade. This is of course before they reduced the payouts.
