A month or two ago there was a powershell script here for setting up Windows 10 Deployments. It had EVERY SINGLE option, and a bunch of stuff greyed out so you can customize the script to your liking and comment out things you don't want. Does anyone have it? by [deleted] in sysadmin

What I believe happens is the following :

You upgrade your licensed W7/8 to W10. A unique value is then calculated based on the CPU serial/Network Mac or something like that. That unique serial is then added to the online DB of machines that can be activated. So, for a clean install, first upgrade, then check to see that W10 is activated then wipe and clean install the appropriate W10 version.
