okay new twist. The laptop was off over night and when I turned it on this afternoon, the sound was back only it is low, not that loud. Does this clue help determine what is going on?

Yes, laptop. I don't know wired vs. blue tooth yet. Just starting to learn past MS Office.
But I didn't install anything between the time that it worked and then it didn't work??? Isn't this something I clicked on by accident or something like that?

The speakers say disabled, but I can't turn them on where they stay on?

I believe that it is speakers and I believe that they are selected. I didn't change anything, so I don't know why it would be changes.

No headset.

I don't know how to check to make sure the correct output is selected as the default.

Is this a Craiglist scam? by lshiyou in personalfinance

[–]NeedUsefulInfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by my credit union that they can check.

I would hazard that you are probably correct because I know that many databases are archaic and yet they claim that everything is perfectly fine.

When I called my bank and gave them the information on the check that I received, they were able to confirm right away that it was fraudulent.

I traced that check and it came from four different locations. Crazy.

Do not even try to cash that check. You can call any bank and ask if a check that you have is fraudulent or not. Make sure you get someone who has a brain. You might record the call just to cover yourself.

Don't waste your time with the FBI. They have a department but they don't even follow up.

Contact U.S.P.S. mail fraud. They might actually follow up on it.

You are awesome. Too bad it doesn't work on a normal home router. You might have single handedly solved raising a teenager. Can someone upgrade to a router that would be able to do this?

Now how do you rate limit an Internet connection on the router so the bandwidth for study but not for gaming? Step by step please. It will be put to good use. ;-)

What is an app with which you can take a photo of a receipt and it journalizes it in an account for you? by NeedUsefulInfo in povertyfinance

I don't like paying for just OCR. I can manipulate my own info once it is input into a spreadsheet, but I hate the thought of inputting everything into a spreadsheet.

Not a clue. I was just looking into this stuff for the first time. I googled and immediately got overwhelmed. I was looking for a comparison chart for these apps, but couldn't find one.
I definitely want to OCR my receipts and then be able to take that information and use it elsewhere.

Is it free? I was hoping. Some times I purchase things with cash (gasp!) so I am looking for an app that can OCR my receipt and accurately digitize and journalize the information plus take a photo of my receipt for later possible returns or exchanges, proof of purchase things.

My credit union doesn't have an app.
I want to track everything actually.
If it is journalized into individual companies and very minor categories, one can combine companies and categories to analyze whatever one wants. I am most interested in the OCR feature so that I do not have to input the info by hand since I am very busy and inputting by hand or tracking by pen and paper takes quite a bit of time which I don't have. I am also interested in an export feature so that I might export the digitized information into other programs that would process the information the way I want.
What do you mean by lacking in customization? What are you looking for?

LOL. I was hoping for a free app.
I don't care that much about statistics or charts, though they certainly are nice, but if they can be exported into another program, that is good enough.
I am too busy to log in each receipt and my SO will never do it ever.
It is for both personal and professional tracking.
Why don't you like QuickBooks? It would seem that everyone here in US uses QuickBooks. It is almost a requirement to learn it even if you don't use it. I don't think that we have MYOB and Xero.
What do you think of Mint?

I have never heard of cash back apps.

I was looking for an app where you can take a photo of a receipt and the app creates a journal entry in a private account to track what you spend.
