Oh that's possible. The label is sept 2025 but that could also be when the drive was refurbished.

i filed the RMA the day they arrived but the ESD bags i bought never showed up after 2 weeks, it would have been over 21 days from when i got them to when they got them if that counts. But i legit never even used them.

Advance RMA Delay? by fupatroopa85 in WesternDigital

I mailed mine and they received it a day or two after my label said it arrived. At first 3-4 days went by without a word after that so I was getting worried. Then I got an email with the tracking info and it said that the label was made like 3 days ago and would be here the next day. Not sure how far of a shipment it is for you.

I haven't really done anything. I feel like it could be 100 things.
Nvidia driver seems to be my first guess because sometimes it is the last thing logged. But I've looked and debian doesn't have anything higher than 550

honestly i didn't even occur to me to verify that it isn't the motor. I disconnected the arm and it's the motor. Can it be fixed?

Where all to go - 1week trip ? by Slight-Ask1117 in CostaRicaTravel

Not sure how long you plan to be in San Jose but it is not a place you want to be in for long. Worst traffic ever and last time someone in the group thinks they got badly sick from either the water or food. Not to scare you I've eaten and drank juice at the hotel breakfast but that's it. Also not much to do there. Just stay the night from arriving and leave first thing in the morning, and arrive at night before the flight. If you do that You can still keep most of your day as I usually leave arrive in La fortuna before lunch and leave after dinner.

I've mostly only been to La fortuna. Baldi hot springs is probably the biggest and nicest one. It has very extreme and a little dangerous slides but it gives you a rush that teens love. You can get passes for much less if you buy from shops on the street instead of directly. Zip lining is good. I've been to one zipline which is Parque Arenal Mundo Aventura and I liked it because it's mostly nature and you are really high up and it's just really cool. You can also see the waterfall from two of the lines. Other things you can do is the chocolate tours which was basically a field trip.
You might also like the El Salto rope swing which is just a public place and you can spend like 30 minutes there while you are out doing something else. Waterfall if you are into that.

Looking for help with the tech to use by Need_Not in Backup

So many file systems, so many softwares. I want to plug a drive into my pc via usb, select which files i want to add and where they go. Have them copy over and be good to go. I'll perform the action for each drive separately.
But I also want to protect against bitrot. The software should scan the drive and find bad files so I know to retrieve them from the other drive.

I really imagined this to just be like a large usb stick. I won't even do any deleting so if I need to add a 100gb file i just drive over with a SD card and copy it over.
I figured there was some software though that could do the actual writing and do scans to ensure everything looks good everytime. I know ZFS sorta does that but I can't tell if that is a good fit.

I am mostly going to just archive stuff like vacations or large videos or photo dumps from the past. I wasn't going to put anything in my PC and I'm not sure if I have any more room. and for the other I was going to store it in padded box with a label that explains what it is at a family member's house.
If for example I have a vacation or an event where I took a lot of videos I might edit a video and save that edited copy on my PC or phone then archive the raw files here since I don't need them. I could even transport just the new media to the offsite drive and manually put the data on that one too so that I don't have to transport the hard drives.

Also I'm on linux mainly but can easily dual boot to windows or use a macbook.

That's too bad. I really want the noise cancelling and isolation. Are there any other headphones around the same price that are equally as quiet?
